safe tint is just the brand, doesnt mean its security tint, tight? you think proton wana giv u safety tint? most of us remove proton's safe tint anyway.. haha even remove battery oso, can still detect bcoz there is CMOS battery in the motherboard. so u need to remove that as well. what they use is circuit detector. detects any life circuit, be it camera/laptop/ any electronic device. best solution? carry with u or dont bring at all.. haha btw abot location, im outside s'gor. in from Penang!
I dunno about Saga....but Inspira does have Ecotint security tints. But some people didn't know, kena conned by SA and redo the tints....

There are many types of security tint from 2mm to 6mm. Of course, they might not give you the highest grade one. But it's good enough for most purpose and it IS a security tint.
R a D ! c 4 L sory late reply. full set sport spring sapura is rm220 direct from sapura factory. gab absorbers? i dun see any sport absorber from gab currently which suits saga BLM. what i see is greber sport abs for saga BLM fits perfectly with sapura sport springs.

Each range has a measurement on how many pound of force it can take....each product also different....Recently, i do for my Savvy CoolWorld tints...i can't remember exactly, but i think they do have 2mil, 4mil, 6mil product. For Ecotint security tint, i think it's 4mil and 6mil. The Inspira should have 4mil/6mil tints for side/windshield...can't remember exactly....

Re: security tint etc, it offers a false sense of security as all glass/tints can be broken.
What u shld get are those that prevents the glass from shattering into pieces and hurting you or your loved one seated beside u. For eg in a motorbike-drive-by-break-glass-and-grab-valuables situation. The tint will hold the glass together and prevent it from flying into pieces and also the thief will have to hit the glass a 2nd or 3rd time to rip it apart. By which time, the element of surprise is gone.
Sorry to hear about what happened to you, jerrymouse.

I think that's the whole point of security tints. They are very, very hard to break and even when they break, they do not shatter. And by the time it breaks, the robber would've lost the element of surprise.
Edit: Here's a sample. Check out from 3 mins onwards.

Most tints actually failed JPJ rules....anything less than 70% VLT for front windshield failed...i think 98% of tints already failed this, except the cheaper ones.
But with stock tint, always can go back to your car manufacturer and complain....

I cant confirm whether it is security tint or not but all I see was that the window glass was still in one piece and there is very very minor of shattered glass in the car..so I presume it was security tint ?
BUt the best part was not about what type of tint u use but what the police told me, ( those ******* will be more than happy to find out u r using security tint bcz it is easier for them to "take out" the whole damn glass rather than breaking bit by bit)...that really freak me out!!!!
