sad case..saga fl 1.6 AT..engine is using persona one but gearbox and gear ratio is using 1.3 AT...which same rpm same speed as 1.3 auto..walao eh
*
Err...they didn't change the gear ratio??? Then i presume it even more minum minyak than 1.3AT??? Persona needs a lot more power to move the heavier body....Saga can do with less power to save on fuel i guess.

BLM/FL, I don't know. Never driven one before.

But for FLX CVT users, during traffic jam if they drive like normal auto (ie: gas > brake > gas > brake) then confirm jerk. Best is to let the car roll itself then only gradually increase gas slowly and when slowing down just let the engine braking do the job.

Is it fixable or I have to contempt with it? Although the jerking are a lot less now at 3000km mileage compares before 1000km service.

thats the characteristic. cant be rectified, but you have to adapt to it. change your driving pattern.

But I do agree that the jerkyness is more apparent before the 1000km service. rclxub.gif
Nowadays less jerky already.

Around that price, you can also try Synthium 800 10w/40. Most Proton SC should have this. But for 1.3 engine....i think xw/30 oil is enuff already...better FC and response. I think there is a Synthium xw/30...not sure which model.

u r wrong( pardon my honest)haha.
SAGA 1.3 AT vs PERSONA 1.6 AT
i can tell you persona win in term of FC.
avd fc for persona AT is 0.16-0.17
wheres for saga at is 0.7-0.20
1.3 at underpower due to its RUBBISH GEARBOX AND GEAR RATIO!
and wat i found is...saga 1.6AT has the same fc with saga 1.3AT..because sharing the same GB wink.gif

jerky is like, your whole body swing front and back due to the sudden forward (when accelerating) then backward (when slowing down/braking) motion of the car.

as for the second part, when you let go throttle in a Saga FLX CVT, the transmission will gradually bring the rpm and speed down. This slowing down process doesn't involve any brakes to be engaged and therefore it is called engine braking. But in order to do a complete stop, please step on the brakes. icon_rolleyes.gif

CVT is a completely different breed of transmission. Therefore one must learn and adapt to it in order to enjoy the smooth ride.

That jerking can also be caused by the drive by wire delay. If you notice, there's a delay from when you start pressing on the throttle and when it actually starts to react. For me, it causes my BLM auto to jerk a lot. After my 10K service at COSE, they did something and now my car is feeling much better.

True, but CVT itself will also make the car jerk during traffic crawl due to the sudden diameter increase and decrease of the moving cones.

The DBW delay I guess just make the jerk worst.
