i hate motorcyclist too... this morning when i drive to work, those motorcyclist like to cross here and there (like rempit), and one of the motorcyclist hit one car side mirror, and all the glasses and plastic fragments drop on the road and bounced to my car and hit my left back door... a small scratch is visible when i reach office and get down for a look...

yeah, the jerk is so terrible when facing traffic jam...

Anyway i found out that my car don't have the jerk as the test drive unit i test last time,
But i found out tat my car have the delay throttle like my dad's toyota wish,
Perhaps it's the drive by wire delay zzz

Yea that toyota harapan is my dad's car
I have drive it for few weeks during waiting for my FLX to come..

So far i hvn't encounter the jerk problem yet,
Hope it won't appear on my car, touch wood touch wood..

@ manBREASTer : All new cars (esp new models) got defects, etc wan. That's why got Warranty. Go chk out forums of other makes...even in other countries.

@V12Kompressor : Wing mirrors shld b spring-loaded 2cut down such damage. Old Sagas had them! Sometimes kenot help feeling we're going 1 step forward but 2 steps backwards?

@ ericmaxman : How's yr HU DIY project? Wish yu all the very best! Hope yu can post step by step install'n pics lo.

Yes, that's why I chose an FL Executive Manual 1.3. Afraid FLX CVT got problems, no matter what whomever claims how good CVT, I still don't trust its reliability.

Yup, true...true...students now very lucky lot! Gone are those days when only means is by public transport or at best own uni/college buses...haha!

@ LittleMin : Can also understand yr situation & how yu feel with only FLX... Primary kids oledi now taken 2sch in Merz & Beamies!!

p/s: don't hate motorcyclist too much lor..I also have motorcycle..huhu..they also don't want to suke2 langgar any side mirror of other cars..

they can cross here and there because they are able to do that. Thats why they ride a motorcycle..he..

but not all of motorcyclist have a bad habit like rempit ride..
the trouble sometimes also come from the car driver itself which they think, itu jalan uncle mereka yang punya..

Juz receive my car yesterday..with defect
after 30 mins of driving
1-aircon stop blowing cold air...temp rise till 6th bar..quickly switch off aircon temp drop to 3rd bar
2-left signal blinks too fast..my dad said bulb dh terbakar

less than 24h oredi got problem this afternoon will send it to proton sc
p/s-i do believe they sell me the demo unit at the showroom

apart from the overheat issue, nothing major. Yesterday I continue vroom vroom also no problem.

the mirror did fold in when hit the lorry, therefore the protective measures are still there
BTW, I hit the edge of the lorry lo, furthermore it is plastic vs steel, so steel wins.

you didn't do some checks before signing the handover form?

I spend 30 minutes checking and walking around. I even compared my cars chassis number with the chassis number of the showroom unit.

CVT reliability is one thing, but to how much extend the new CVT been matched and tuned to the engine....it'll need time discover all the problems and rectify on it....engine and transmission are the core of the car....when there's something new to either of these, there's bound to be unforeseen problems.....so in that sense....will be lab rat for Proton......so maybe waiting a year or two(when they have discovered and rectify most of the problems) then only buy an FLX might be a wiser option.

(PS: For my Inspira, the Lancer guys has helped us to become Mitsubishi CVT lab rat for 3 years oready...LOL).

i sign the form b4 do the checking..everything looks ok during the checking..3 of us did that...didn't kno how to check the chasis no..check all the lamps,buttons,engine,head unit...everything still under warranty right?so i didn't have to pay for the repair rite?

sad case..saga fl 1.6 AT..engine is using persona one but gearbox and gear ratio is using 1.3 AT...which same rpm same speed as 1.3 auto..walao eh

chasis number is sandblasted on the window, and also stated on a metal plate at the drivers side.
