So.... tongue.gif
With all views expressed re "oversteer" & "understeer", which category does BLM/FL/FLX belong to?

And how to correct it? By "modding" the car and/or way of driving?

Feel some "education" here wld b most welcomed by all who own or drive Sagas...TQ!! thumbup.gif notworthy.gif

there's only understeer for FF cars.

how to solve? Know the limit of the car and understand the road you're traveling on lo. Simple.

i duno.i know my B-line r13 just cant make a good turn around the roundabout. but i upgrade it to sapura lowered and r15 taiwan rims with 195/50 tyres plus 3max 4 point front strut, semua settle. if my car still buang, then is the tyre grip issue liaw, not the steering lor.

p/s; i drive my gf's lmst buang at cornering wei..oversteer. pasal ada pasir kat jalan masa buat kornering lor. hehehe.

hard cornering too much after installing those bars also not good lah, without strengthening the chassis or do spot welding.

sooner later chassis will bengkok. coz body flex too much.

In other words, 1 way 2improve on "breaking point" is to :
1. Lower car ie lower centre of gravity;
2. Wider rims & tyres ie providing better grip on road.

TQ 4that! thumbup.gif

NB. Use of chassis strengthening bars dependent on budget - Bro SiuYi. TQ.

Yr suggestion works!! I am proof of that!! Still alive now...hehe... thumbup.gif

An ole story... Driving along Genting-Sempah pass (b4 Karak Hiway time!!) in VW 1300. Car spins 180 deg. Faced opp direction! Luckily not go dwn ravine!!

Added wheel spacers. Changed to good radials (Old VWs came with crossplies!) Also changed shocks to Konis...adjustables.

Drove same way nxt trip. Smooth taking all the corners all the way!

True story!! thumbup.gif

my opinion, malaysia should add defensive driving in driving school curriculum too. The 2 second rule isn't enough. Should know how to anticipate and avoid dangers caused by other people's bad driving.

ABS is the perfect example. Many cars nowadays already equipped with ABS but not many driver know how to use it properly.

All this talk about over- and under-steer.
Since when Saga become like Felali? doh.gif

Remember 1st and foremost, Saga is a family car and meant to be driven like one. Drive safe, live long and prosper.

this is where everyone gets it wrong.

It is called "Anti-lock" for a reason. In an event of emergency braking, ABS will prevent wheels from locking up and allows the driver to steer the car out of danger. Merely stomping on the brake pedal and let the system do the job is more like EBD's job.

About the defensive driving, yes I agree. There are some things that you learn while driving, that is not taught at driving school. For example, when changing lane, it's easier if your speed matches the car at the lane u want to change into.

Yup...yu kno dat...& a no. of us also BUT many esp new drivers don't!! sad.gif
Also promo diagrams show ABS & EBD got together. Nvr tell abt driver needs to keep cool AND STEER the car out of danger!!

Whose fault? Education failed? Car companies? Driving Schools? JPJ? Drivers themselves?
