been using this tab for 2 days.
been heavily exploring the features.

man....i got to say i'm very dissapointed.

overall the tab is very laggy. i'm on the original 3.1 firmware.
scrolling through home screen is laggy, especially if you put these big widgets. a noticable example is the calander and the scrollable widget.

removing the widgets ensures smooth scrolling. but i was wondering why implement those widgets it they cause scrolling homescreen to be laggy.

and why the heck i cant reduce the number of home screen?
need to search for 3rd party launcher haiz...

most of the apps appear pixaleted,
the android market is soooo laggy.

there is NO folder support. this really confuse me, there is a paid alternative for it. which sucks, this should be free.

the middle part has a down arrow, which launches the totally USELESS samsung customize thing. always accidentally press it, especially when playing fruit ninja.

the screen rotation is slow. maybe due to it has to resize all the items on the home screen.

browser feels abit jagged. not that smooth, but at least it load pages faster than sgs2

default browser default agent is mobile, which is stupid since the screen is laptop resolution.

the recently used button is kidda redundant, even if i want to use it, its very slow to appear, always a noticable lag.

i already rooted, and freeze all the rubbish apps like hubgs, weather widget etc, but still quite slow.

the most used feature, which is the browser, forced closed about 10 times a day. opening 4-5 tabs with some of them being youtube video is too much for it to handle? and there is no "reopen all tabs" feature, sucks when it force close. :-(

playing "where's my water" on tab, the graphic is the lowest possible, the water flow like real water in my sgs2 and my friends's ipad, but on tab10.1, the water like blocks of water drops. haiz....

i have such high hopes for this android tab. but the performance is really bad. tegra 2 dual core is really slow, even sgs2 underclock to 1GHz is much faster. :-(

well, still 2 days usage, hopefully able to make it faster, or maybe i'm missing something.

typical example of users who dunno how to use his tab.. give it some time, learn how to use.. my tab never experience any of the things u mentioned after customization.. it's the software problem, not hardware (mostly).. try 3.2 on it, u will take back what u have said..

anyway, sgs2 hardware is better than tab, running at a lower resolution..

New member, suddenly post his frustration..
A real owner would probably come in here and ask for real advise..

I myself use stock 3.1 now, and homescreen is as smooth as those custom rom from xda..

Yes, u are missing someting.. Ur brain

The only person u shud be frustrated with is urself for not knowing how to solve those issues u seem to be having, where else other people dont..
For eg.. Browser desktop agent.. Use dolphin la...
fruit ninja, that shows how poor your skill is..why on earth u slash the bottom of the screen when the fruits are flying in the middle?
Wheres my water runs smooth on my stock tab.. No issues.. Same goes to sprinkle which has better fluid movement..
Folder support? Its comin with ICS... But there are other options - try circle launcher.. Its free...

Question, looking to buy one of those USB OTG connectors, I've heard there's some thumbdrives which don't work with them, any idea which ones can/cannot? Also what's a good price for non-Samsung connector (only see 1 thread selling currently in trade zone).

I tried using winamp ... still same problem...  with earbuds it's OK...both sides are working....

I couldn't tell for sure whether the speaker was faulty from the start or not... because I didn't try the audio when I bought it (yes, very dumb    I know) ... and all this while I never pay any attention to the speaker bcoz most of the time I'm on earphone... 

but vaguely I can tell that the sound have always been that way (I'm very lousy owner aren't I...haha)...

So should I just take this back to Samsung center and have them look at it? How long do you think they would take to fix this problem.....

 

Hi I'm having problem with the speaker...the right one is not working....the left one is ok.... is it the setting...the song...or the speaker is faulty....just bought this thing less than a month...please helppp

gee guys, i did mention i'm a newbie, just use it for few days (whacha expect? lol...) and in the last paragraph, i mention i hope to improve it (meaning i am looking for alternatives, or solutions).

when i first bought the sgs2, i was confuse with it as well. but after few weeks, very satisfied as most of the "issues& dissatisfactions" are resolved.

I am not here to troll. but spending rm1499, i kindda hope it would be a near perfect experience.
anway, i like android, and dont mind spending time reading how to customize it to my liking (kindda like a hobby)

i prefer stock browser, it automatically sync with google chrome. dolphin hd looks silly on the tab (i installed the mobile version yesterday >< silly me)
i just found there is a tab version of dolphin, will try it out later.

fruit ninja, my high score is 1088 (so i think i'm consider not a noob in this game), to get higher score, you need to strike the fruits in >3 at a time to get combo.
sometimes the fruits are in line vertically, so i have to swipe top to bottom vertically. this cause the silly touchwidz thing to appear if i accidentally touch the arrow, and i miss miss my fruit. *annoying.

where my water runs smooth, no lag, but the water animation are in droplets form. very ugly.
hm...i'll get a screenshot for you to see later tonight. you'll get what i mean later.
i read about chain fire, suppose to improve graphics, not sure can apply or not.

folder support, i google about this this morning, was thinking maybe go launcher can solve this, will try tonight. my tab is at home now.

anyway, already bought it, will make the best out of it. still prefer the tab than ipad.
despite the lack of games, the browser is more user friendly, i can easily transfer songs, pictures and movie to watch on it.

Hi, so so soooo sorry, i was too distracted in playing my tab yesterday i forgot about it. i've already did the screen shot last night, just that i cant upload it. its very difficult to do it in the tab. i usually use imgur to upload photo. now i'm on my lappy. i get it done asap :-p

well well, some games are not made to play in HD, hence u will see pixelation..

if u download HD or THD games to play, especially those for Tegra 2, I'm sure u will love playing games on tab.

Try Shadowgun or Samurai 2.. U will see the difference.

juz read around, read comments and reviews about games n stuff, then find your way to download.

it takes time to make yr tab usable, but once u have finish setting everything, u will never look back to use the fruit sanitary pad anymore.. cz the tab pawns it in everything..

remember, there's nth u cannot do with android.. LOL..
