planning to buy this tab b4 christmas...
any tips to give ?
anything to look out for like screen bleed, loose buttons (mainly hardware known issues, if got la)

is there any shop that would give out more freebies than any other shop? planning to get it from Lowyatt, or DigiMall PJ...

its not stupid if u dont really need it... and even if u end up needing it in the end, just get those 30pin connector...
u can plug in both thumbdrive and sdcard to it...no problem...

stupid only comes into picture if the buyer wants a built in sdcard slot out of the box, but still end up buying Gtab... get a diff tab la... wats the fuss??

im using task650 3.2 custom rom... and i still get that "Waiting to install" problem... a cold reboot did the trick....

but actually, its because i was trying to install a game i bought long time ago that cannot support Tab (NFS:Shift) .. im a noobie too ...so lesson learnt...

seriously? NFS shift? after a long wait trying to install, it says y device cannot supprt it

thats how samsung should release their official rom.

to be honest, yes.. only if u run livewallpaper...specially when typing in browser mode..
most of the time, u can feel the keyboard a bit laggy, specially when u type very fast (like me hehe) ...also when moving icons between homescreen also got some lag...
other than that, the apps n games runs very smooth....no worries...

solution is simple, dont use livewallpaper (except vortex galaxy- this livewallpaper is very2 smooth compared to others in the market)

did the user in gsmarena say which part is laggy?
cos for me, the only time i feel the official rom is laggy is the one i just explained...

meanwhile, i run HD games or apps, all smooth...
(i dont hav that many background apps running, less frequent auto update - mails, weather etc)..

overall experience will improves a lot if u use custom rom, no doubt... even with livewallpaper running...
and its very easy to do.. got video guide from xda

so i cant really vouched on the official rom performance cos i only used it for less than 48hrs...
afterwhich, i flashed custom rom cos i want to upgrade to 3.2 version... official 3.2 not yet released for malaysia...

i also hav some hesitation to get this tab last time.. but once i got it, no regret at all..
its very light... making it easy to play game for long hours.. i cant imagine if i bought a heavier n bulky tab.. sure tiring to hold them...

hav u tried the Samurai II THD games? walauwey... very nice..
its even better than the IOS version!!

i'm 'liking' my tab each and every day...

I agree with sifoo.. ipad is masking its shortcoming with smooth UI only...
and not that an IOS will never go lag on you at all.. sometime it even hangs too...
at least thats wat my ipad2 frens told me la.. cos normally frens is honest , unlike some unknown user u asked online..

Bro..ur runnin custom rom? Im on task rom and i cant seem to find nfs shift in samsung apps... Tried to search 'shift' but samsung said no data... Strange...

Update? Hmm.. Dats the strange thing.. I cant even see it in my app list in market..
How to update?

I restored the backup of samsung app application from the official rom...

Maybe for 3g version? Mine is wifi only..
And it did asked to update..some push setting bla bla thingy..

Gonna wait for bro fallenout to reply cos hehas the same rom as mine...

Fallenout also said he cant find it in samsung apps.. I guess the shift hd is meant for 3g tab only...
But out of curiousity, im gonna restore bck to official rom n see if dat wud make a diff...luckily got cwm :-)

now can only rely of dev..

Normally, when your tab are fully charged, the u unplug the charger.
How long does it take for the battery to go down to 99%?

Mine took less than a 2 minute without doing anything, at lowest screen brightness setting... Is that normal?
