lousy lcd screen pawn by canikon, seriously, when rotated 180 on top follow the lens direction, it block by the hot shoe/internl flash
And what is the orange77 anyway? AFAIK, Sony only has Alpha77

QUOTE(zstan @ Sep 11 2011, 01:07 PM) you did not just share the videos...you shared your views on the camera as well... unless you copied paste it from somewhere... its a nice machine sound, is most quite so far in sony dslr. but in the closer the view for the lcd is true when after extended upper in 180degree facing to front, its expose a downpoint of the lcd, the only way to view from front will block by the pop up internal flash or the hot shoe accessory |

take a moment to think about it.. main audience for the front facing lcd would be for youngsters who camwhore and having a flashgun on camera will be very heavy for that purpose, what more that flashing at that distance will sometimes cause flash over exposure. So what if it blocks partial of the screen when pop up flash is used? Yes it is not ideal, but its still very viewable from the camwhorer's POV. Pros using the a77 will be BEHIND the camera. Not in front of it.
So i beg you not to be so sensitive on this issue and be a 'baby' yourself when you get opposing idea from your own from members here. You came here and gave your idea, we're here to give ours, that's all. Why are you so worked up on it? |

lwiliam, i think the rotating lcd would be good as a "quick show" of the shot taken to the person-being-photographed/model/etc

Porkchop, I'd rather turn the entire camera to show instead. Less moving parts, less chance of breaking. But well, that could work.

QUOTE(lwliam @ Sep 10 2011, 03:16 AM) Awwwwwwww, ain't that sweetttttt. Haha..this is just one of the options that I edited.. i tried 2-3 different edit version.. but my gf like this version the best. Personally I like another version with black n white version.. as there is many details & shadows visible in this photo And I think you tuned down the right side (and a bit of the left side as well) of the 1st pic a bit too much, I can see the overhanging lamp was given a bit too much editing (vignetting) QUOTE(Newbieeeeee @ Sep 10 2011, 08:44 AM) Hahaha.. is quite hard to get a natural pose when we r shooting on tripod on timer.. but it was a fun taking... at least my gf likes it.. (good thing. so she wont complaint if i bring too much gears during vacation ) hahahaAdded on September 11, 2011, 3:35 pm QUOTE(ieR @ Sep 10 2011, 04:15 AM) clive, how you did that color in first pic? ive been searching this color for a long time! hahah.. still young.. not going to kahwin anytime SOOoonn.. The color approach... hard to explain.. edited in both adobe raw & the photoshop..simply experiment. I give it a warm color balance.. Reduce the saturation.. Give the shadow a bit of Blue tint (which i like to do recently), save to jpeg.. edit in photoshop... Reduce contrast & saturation again.... duplicate layer and ... Softlight to layer below. Mask away shadows which is too dark to bring out more details. finally thin sharpen and final sharpen with High pass method. This post has been edited by clivengu: Sep 11 2011, 03:35 PM |

Unlikely for me to turn the LCD facing me and use it to camwhore anyways XD Unlikely question, beside the signal bar for Steadyshot, if there is an icon blinking, what does that supposed to mean? Getting really not used to OVF liao, bad sign for wallet. |

AF shall work in this case , hopefully |
