buying a DSLR is just buying, but using it, is not about iso limit, or aperture or superzoom all in one range. its about knowing every possibility what it can do for you, like how i able to shoot a whole wedding with just 50mm on A300... how i can use 70200 shot a photo and it look SO WIDE... people say i am crazy, indeed i am.

Seldom do I go so close and wide open that I get bokeh using that lens. The question you should be asking yourself is what do you intend to do with that lens? Does the so-called weaknesses listed in those tests apply to you and the way you shoot?

Problem is we do not know if we have exceeded the MFD. With AF we know when the lens cannot lock focus. When MF we can only rely on our eyes to see if the focus is correct.

Try moving a little back and forth and see if the focus can get sharper or not. It may help.
