Just got my Alza Premium Auto Ivory White today. Can say the sound proof is a lot better than my previous saga. Got one question, why the middle room light when i put the level to "Door" but when i close all the door the light is still on? Is there any place i left out or is this a defect?

The reason, they already learn something from the club members then just want to thanks to club. Just my personal point of view. |

My Alza tested before 1st service can reach 120+ really 130km/h only at highway. (just test not all the way this speed) City drive i follow keep it below 90km/h ... highway susah loh .. make it 100km/h AFTER the 1st service, hehe .. things different |

It will be smooth after 1st service. So, wish you enjoy with new car and problem free |

Haven't notice any problem yet so far. But I heard something like rattling/tikus sound from the back when driving over some uneven road. Is it coming from the 3rd row seat? Can this be rectify?

Is it only can drive normally after the first 1000km service? Yes, before 1st service, less than 1000km, I drove less than 90km/h. After 1st service, I'd a trip to penang, speed 110km/h to 140km/h. My clocked 30,xxx km right now. Already went 5 time service already. Next visit will claim my roof sound proof and front mounting (due to battery water) because Perodua HQ approved within a week once I complaint to them. I sent complaint feedback for my issues, they did call me few time and find out more. I told them about it, what I cannot claim was the sound proof for 4 doors as all alza until present was not fitted. Minor problem encountered: Perodua Alza 1.5EZi Premium 2010 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Front, driver, door ajar sensor (Claimed and replaced) 2. Mounting rust by battery water (Claimed, waiting to fix it) 3. Roof sound proof (Claimed, waiting to fix it) 4. Front, driver seat (Dismantled and fixed) Give and take, DIY ---------------------- 1. Minor rattling that I accepted 2. Some wind noise that i accepted Future will do --------------- 1. 4 doors myvi chrome handles 2. 4 doors sound proof 3. 4 tyres to 195/60/R15 Honestly the car served me well. RM 0.15 per km / 7.9 L per 100km (70% city, 30% highway) RM 0.12 per km / 6.3L per 100km (80% highway, 20% city) Petrol = Esso-Mobil, petronas, caltex 120km/h @ 3,000rpm, max. speed tested 150km/h Throttle cable adjusted to max. Never worry car can't start unless no petrol / battery If you looking for economical compact MPV which occasionally 5 + 2 people onboard, I can said Perodua Alza deserved for it. You looking for quiet cabin, luxury and european safety standard, this obviously was not your choice. |

I've been reading this thread from 1st page to here. Only person that complains about the car is Eithanius.
I can then conclude that this car should be quite ok, only 1 person complains about it. Every car also got defect, probably he's unlucky. |

Okay, for the past 2 days been driving the temporary replacement car from Perodua while my Alza get stuck in SC for a second major repair, and gods knows how many more weeks. And it's a 1st-gen FL MyVi Auto Premium, which I also happened to own another. So now I've got 2 FL MyVi parked in front of my house. First major advantage over the Alza is how the steering really feels when making turns and going over coarse roads. Steering wheel feels a lot less micro-vibrations, and less resistance to turning. And when I talk about resistance to turning, it may have something to do with the too-short an air-cond pipe that is feeding water onto the steering rack causing rust, and it happens on all Alza regardless.
The MyVi from Perodua is on Goodyear donuts (haven't check what series) on the front and a pair of Silverstones on the ass, and my own MyVi is Conti CC1s in all four. While the Alza comes with crappy SS M5s, changing all 4 donuts MAY OR MAY NOT solve or alleviate the steering vibration issues. So what really screwed up the steering on the Alza...? Heck even the steering wheel surface itself feels rough when they claimed it's a so-called leather wrapped steering. Bear in mind this is not a comparison with another brand nor with another expensive model, but with Perodua's own best-selling model that was selling cheaper than an Alza at that time (RM 49k I presume). » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « For those Alza owners here who also own FL MyVis, I recommend you to compare the steering feel on both models. The ride on Alza is simply harsh, so bad that I prefer driving the MyVi over the Alza. The only drawback on the MyVi is the somewhat too stiff suspension that ruins the comfort ride. On another note, sound insulation on a tin-canned MyVi is still way better than a tin-canned, acoustically untreated Alza.
