Walk into a perodua showrom last sunday. The interest they offering now is only 2.87% quite interesting. Thinking of getting the premium version white color but there is actually 2 types of white color Solid Whiteand Pearl White. Which one easier to maintain?

Colors aside... Have you test-driven this piece of junk yet...? If you haven't, please do and then only decide...  brows.gif

Need I remind you again please be ready to fork out another few grands to fix the problems...  whistling.gif

Haha thanks for your advise. I have test driven it on the same day and when compare to my current saga blm this is a clear winner for me. I have a colleague of mine which is a quite a happy Alza user maybe his luck getting a problem free one. As for the sound insulation haha i think this Alza is around the same if not better than my saga blm ya you did hear the roof when it rain heavily but i already get used to it sweat.gif

I'm not so concern about the sound insulation thing, my main concern is on the engine and suspension. Hopefully I will get a problem free Alza too rolleyes.gif BTW I have place my booking on the Medallion Grey at last hehe.

Just got my Alza Premium Auto Ivory White today. Can say the sound proof is a lot better than my previous saga. Got one question, why the middle room light when i put the level to "Door" but when i close all the door the light is still on? Is there any place i left out or is this a defect?

Guys, from the manual book it says that during running in period only can drive below 90 km/h did you guys follow? My alza just clock 100+ km only. Is it only can drive normally after the first 1000km service?

No wonder the power delivery was like just smooth but like not enough power. Hmm then have to be gentle until the first service.. lol

Haven't notice any problem yet so far. But I heard something like rattling/tikus sound from the back when driving over some uneven road. Is it coming from the 3rd row seat? Can this be rectify?

Just DIY installed a Captor VS taken from my previous Saga before it was sold hopefully can give at least slight help on battery because it was really small NS40 even my saga 1.3 were using NS60 battery.

About the steering rack rust, i think perodua did something to rectify this by sticking some kind of patch maybe anti rust patch on the spot where the air cond water will drop onto but not duno how effective is it. Can i request SC to add a pipe on it to let it drop directly onto the ground?

Been driving my 3 days old Alza so far i can say this car was really nice to drive around the city. I'm happy with it.

With the throttle cable tighten and new Michelin tyres, long distance drive FC can go down to 7.4L/100km, AT. But I'd say average is 7.6 cos I overtake others. If I can stay put and don't worry about time, I think I can achieve 7.4L constant.
*
How come you can get 7.4 - 7.6L/100km? is it manual? Mine Alza EZi clocked 3.2k KM average 9.0 - 9.2L /100km is there anything wrong with my car? So far this car is a big improve for me in terms of comfort and power compared to my saga blm.

But this morning starting to heard kruk kruk kruk sound from the spare tyre when going over uneven road. Is it need to tighten the screw or something? One more thing is the transmission, every time when changing from 'R' to 'D' when engine is cold it will jerk a bit.

I bought the spring buffer too but haven't install yet. Planning to DIY. Anybody using 60 series tyre currently? Can it fit? Because i'm planning to upgrade from 55 series tyre because I feel it is too bumpy running on it. Do you think after upgrade to 60 series tyre it will be more comfortable or the same?

My seat belt warning light keeps blinking even I've plugged in the seat belt. Ask them to fix it on my 3rd service they said just the sensor 'longgar' and tighten it but end up the same. Anybody has the same issue? How to fix it?

alza still under warranty so not gonna try.
but did try shell helix plus 10W-40 (semi syn) on my previous 1.3 myvi.

power wise can feel a little bit sluggish (NOTE: a little bit only) when trying to move the car from stationary.
can notice need to step more on accelerator to accelerate the car.

engine felt much quieter overall,
but very noticeable when idling.

wonder what' s viscosity toyota is using for Avanza 1.5?
if toyota is using ?W-40 then shud be no problem for alza.
*
Read from avanza thread that toyota sc actually used 10w-40 viscosity engine oil for avanza. Being the same engine i think should be ok to use 5w-40 engine oil. Will try it on my next service.

Anyone upgraded their tyre from the original 55 series to 60 series tyre? I'm planning to change my 4pcs M5 to Yoko C Drive 2 185/60/15 for better comfort, won't hit the fender right?

Can't tahan with the M5 already, yesterday when driving in rain around 60km/h a car infront sudden brake, when i press the brake a bit harder, the car was like riding on roller blade.. no grip at all so scary!

Yours Alza SR..? Where's your ABS...?

M5 is known to skid in any road condition, be it dry or wet... If you enjoy sapu corner, go for Michelin PS3, else XM2 will do fine...
*
Haha mine is Ezi bought last year Oct. PS3 too expensive already no budget..

Just changed mine to Yokohama C Drive 2 185/60/15 RM200/pcs. After changed can feel this tyre is much more comfortable and quiet than the previous M5. Haven't have the chance to try in the wet yet.

I bought from this TS. If you don't mind the location at Shah Alam which I personally think worth the time cause you actually save quite a lot. You can PM him to get your quotation.
