If Asus start bringing FHD screen into the mainstream market, i reckon other OEM will do the same too.

.... gut feeling still tells me the insides of n45sf still gt prob...

and asus is delaying or avoiding the real fix.... instead goes for the easier fix.... switch downclocked to cpu.. instead of gpu.. less noticeable...

Is it the Malaysian specs? The specs may vary in different countries right?

Hahaha... Cannot tahan waiting until next week... Just got myself n55 i7 @dfusion digital mall hehehe... First i try the i5 version, but got frustated with the matte screen. Seems the colour too harsh. I compared side by side with the i7 glossy screen, on i5 version picture of koala looks more "red". This will be difficult for me as i'm using it for photo editting too.

So count me in this club too... Hahahaha..

Asus Malaysia
"Dear all, thank you for your kind feedback. We shall look into the issue again and find for another solution. We apologize for any inconvenience caused."

I am sure they know what cause the problem they are trying to save money and prevent recalling N45SFs.

Another BIOS update will have me knocking on their doors with tons of cusses and flying kicks.

I am trying to avoid the matte screen if possible lol.

I need news on what the new specs will beee!!! ARGH.

Imagine this.....

N55SF i5
-1600x900 (Glossy)
-i5 2430
-GT555M (Not crippled)
-4GB RAM (Upgradeable to 8GB)
-HD Webcam

Oh my....I think I've gotten a little wet.

i prefer matte screen. Why???......so i can use it at outdoor or near a window with sunlight biggrin.gif IMO

PS: there's a possibility that Asus MY is aware they are *accidently* putting the HD+ screen for N55SF i5.....and they might change it to HD.......to save money since i7 also HD laugh.gif tongue.gif

True.. Try compare same picture, both model side by side and you'll see how different matte really is. I changed my mind last minute ;-) lucky the seller tested the i5 beside displayed i7. Fuhh....
