If u dont like to risk because sandforce controller is kinda like gambling..if u r lucky,u get a good 1.Most of the sifus in Hardware section usually recommend corsair F60,OCZ vertex 2 or 3,OCZ agility 2 or 3 and Intel X25M.Crucial M4 of course is better but kinda hard to find here smile.gif

well but momentus xt is 4gb for reading only. It will save ur most frequently used programme in that 4gb flash memory so next time u can read it up faster. For me i think its better get a ssd and install windows and the programme u wan in it. Probably some games also. That way is much faster....
*
U have to consider the capacity.Seagate Momentus XT has 500GB for 400 bucks..while SSD has around 64GB for 400 bucks.Unless u take out the ODD to install the SSD,u will have to choose either SSD or HDD.Seagate Momentux XT is 2 in 1.

lol, my odd is definitely out. But i thought of changing my internal hdd also. 5400rpm only>.< maybe change to 1tb one or something? coz 640gb is not enough for me...
*
External hard disk?I am using 2.

Well..not everybody is willing to sacrifice the ODD.Let's say one day ur fren says "I got Transformer 3 original dvd,let's watch together"..then u say "Errr...sorry...no dvd-rom"..ur fren..."ffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif "

unfortunately , have to use External ODD lol
*
Ya lo..since the notebook has built in ODD...then u take out..next time emergency wanna use, cannot use adi.But it's up to individual la.

Btw,640Gb should be sufficient wert..1 game averagely 10 Gb (Let's round up it because some game might below 10Gb and some game might more than 10Gb)...640Gb - OS - applications = 100 Gb used....so left 540 Gb..which means can install 54 games adi.Still not enuf?Unless u use it for storage purpose like movies and games which i use external hard disk to back up laugh.gif

lol normally my games won't take that much actually. just a few games. mostly are movies la. all 720p and 1080p lol. way too big. and i ady got 2 external hdd ady@@. Don really feel like carrying 3 external hdd all over the place xD(somemore one is 3.5" one, need external power one, that one is heavy@@)
*
U upgrade ur internal hard disk to 1gb from 640 gb...meaning extra 360 Gb only wert =.=ll...it's going to be filled up sooner and later and u will have to go to external hard disk once again.

Oh,another reason to go for external hard disk and not internal.

Ur applications and boot time dont benefits from ur new 1tb 7200 RPM...coz ur os and applications r installed in ur SSD!

Wat did u get?Extra 360Gb capacity..very slightly decrease in loading time if u install games in it...and tat's all lol.

guys, i wanna ask something, for usb 3.0 right, the difference from 2.0 is the port only? The hdd inside is the same right?
*
Yea,usb 3.0 is theoretically 10x faster than usb 2.0.

well i'm gonna throw in os and programme and games if possible all in ssd. Then hdd only for storing movies and all that. Its not like we need that extra speed to watch movie or listen to music right xD
*
Better go for external hard disk..next time ur fren wanna copy stuff no need borrow ur notebook. Can terus give him the external hard disk thumbup.gif

same third year also. No no, i mean usb 3.0 faster is due to its port only right? the hdd inside is same right? Coz its like i got a usb 3.0 external hdd but smaller capacity. If i change the hdd inside to bigger size, will it affect the usb 3.0 speed?
*
I am not very sure but should be the same right? It's just the port hmm.gif
