Just get the N55SF..the new XPS 15 is pricey as hell and got much slower GT 540M compared to GT 555M.

Just got myself a N55SF at RM2620 with 4GB RAM free upgrade yesterday evening at lowyat plaza

All I can say about this laptop is magnificent practically in all aspect. The best price-to-performance laptop at its time.

For those who are still curious about the spec, check my siggy. I put there fairly detailed and precise spec - for simplicity's sake.

But I felt a bit regretted as there is new N55SF with 750GB HDD. 'Patience gives you fruits lol'.

Lastly, Simon please add me to the owner list of Asus N5 series

Yea, its a RM70 Mushkin brand.

Mine also same. N55SF with 750GB is maybe available specially for PC fair, I remember a forumer write down the code as N55SF-S2353V, but googling can't found.

1. You can ask dealer for latest package.
2. The i7 version comes with glossy HD screen.
3. 1x4GB.

Glossy screen has reflective characteristic like a mirror (seriously I don't like it ). HD screen is normally has max resolution of 1366x768. And of course HD+ is better than HD screen for 15.6" laptop.

N55SF-S2043V will be replacing with new N55SF-S2353V and shall be coming latest by next week. This new model, their Processor has been upgraded i5-2430M and HDD to 750GB (7200 rpm). And the best part, the price is the same - RM 2,799

Wth, so ludicrously fast. The 7.9 score is the max for WEI . Maybe I should consider getting an SSD in the future, not now coz the price is freaking high.

Ya, maybe coz your bro uses the old DDR2 RAM, so upgrading that would cost more than DDR3 type..

I'm feeling so satisfied with the new driver update, no need to mod

And my overall WEI score increased from 4.7 to 5.8.
- AERO from 4.7 to 5.8 (but I noticed that many people got 5.9)
- Gaming graphics from 6.8 to 6.9

That's weird..maybe coz different hardwares - I got 2430M and 8GB RAM..

ATTENTION TO N55/N45 owner:

Please do not install the optional KB2607576 update coz it made the multimedia key not functioning..

Had installed it and got solved by windows restore instead of reinstalling ATK...

Windows 7 is still buggy
