just asking if i did not sent my car at perodua service for maintenance, its possible void my car warranty? bought 11/2008...

Well, it can almost certainly be considered as warranty void because they can always blame that the workshops outside could have damaged whatever that needs to get a warranty claim. In short, if you don't service your car during the warranty period at their authorized service centres then they will very likely put the blame on others (in this case the workshop that serviced your car).

By the way, I remember last time Perodua did gave my sister's Kelisa a free 1 year warranty extension when the warranty period was over as the car was serviced at Perodua's service centre all the time.

Hi ahbun85, normally they would consider it as voided warranty as they could say that it's the workshop's fault for causing this problem. My suggestion would be that do your maintenance until the day when your warranty is expired. That time you could choose to continue sending it to Perodua Service Centre or send to a workshop that you trust smile.gif

Hello irispun, Normally you won't get any discount for new cars that has been launched recently, all they could give you is free gifts smile.gif

Not sure about this haha but as far as I know, normally there won't be discounts for new cars smile.gif Eg: You see from those promotions made by Perodua for the Raya Season. 1 is Register your Perodua car between 1st-31st August and get a chance to get up to RM2300 DUIT Raya. which means it's just a duit raya and does not confirm you could get it. You might get RM1 smile.gif Another is a promotion which only applies to Perodua Viva but not the Myvi smile.gif

Plan to install Zaptor VS, seem very good, Pivot a bit expensive, and got a lot of imitate 1, scare it will burn randomly... haha
Must CAI installed on the front bumper? I don't wan't to cut a hole on my bumper... cry.gif
*
Buy from proper shop then most like-ly you won't get conned. I bought it from Quick Save in USJ... Good capasitor is not cheap, if the capasitor is cheap then my experience tells me the capasitor is not good. I have done some simple tests with the capasitor before. Good ones can retain the power longer, cheap ones drain like pouring water out from a jug. So you do your own maths.

My CAI is pointing to the back of my radiator only, I didn't drill any hole and it is more than enough.

Yea the speakers are really disappointing, no bass at all, going to change my speaker... hahaha
Another disappointment is the air-con compressor, the compressor kick it frequently and u can hear it inside the car when the radio is off... But u can't hear it when u turn on the radio...  laugh.gif

BTW, i'm planning to install VS on my LB myvi, will it void my warranty?
*
yup yup, the compressor sometimes gets on my nerves... kicking in so frequently. is this the common trait of all P2 cars?

btw, what is this "VS" thing? reading previous replies, i'm guessing it's some kind of capacitor banks?

The SC already changed one set of new caliper & break pad and rotor disk to me before the warranty expired. Anyway, 6 Years driving without changing break Pad since every two years I got replacement for rotor and breakpad... basically, adding grease can last me 1 year then ok... Else I'm thinkIng to upgrade to other caliPer and rotor.

caliper no so compulsory to change as it wont wrap easily...
just change the rotor and brake pad will do...

anyway, i changed to brembo OEM rotor + sumitomo brake pad, both cost me RM390...
hence sumitomo brake pad bigger than stock brake pad, but no issues to pair with stock caliper...

here the pic to let u all know what is the caliper exactly...
if still have the knocking sound from brake system, u can change the caliper pin which slightly bigger size than stock pin and can tighten the caliper... u all can find the aftermarket caliper pin from LYN garage sales too...
