Problem resolve by adding grease into caliper pin.... Now no more sound..
*

the problem wont solve permanently as the grease will flush away by rain easily...

QUOTE(Terence573 @ Sep 3 2011, 09:17 AM)
they claim cannot use other than theirs grease.. hmm.gif
*

the SC want to earn some extra bucks...
anyway, how u know the SC offering the correct grease too as claimed by them?

other workshop able to offer those specialist grease too...
but of cos u need to look for trustable workshop...

caliper no so compulsory to change as it wont wrap easily...
just change the rotor and brake pad will do...

anyway, i changed to brembo OEM rotor + sumitomo brake pad, both cost me RM390...
hence sumitomo brake pad bigger than stock brake pad, but no issues to pair with stock caliper...

here the pic to let u all know what is the caliper exactly...
if still have the knocking sound from brake system, u can change the caliper pin which slightly bigger size than stock pin and can tighten the caliper... u all can find the aftermarket caliper pin from LYN garage sales too...

I wonder if Perodua have rectified their braking issues like the noise and the warping problem in their latest Lagi Best model? It'll be ridiculous if it's not fixed. sweat.gif
*

maybe p2 have the contract with brake rotor supplier for long term relationship...
that why the poor quality still retain as the profit concerned...

ok.. then it must be power lag..

the jerking feeling is like when it shift gear up.. u can feel the car pull behind a bit.. not smooth shifting.. like tarik a bit.. will see how it goes after 1st service.. =)
*

i think should quite common on conventional auto gearbox shifting right?

bcos i dont have raw power lag from engine as i using manual gearbox and giving me the power on the right time while as i always driving in offensive style...

guys i got a quite old myvi and was wondering if the CD player can play a data CD with 700mb worth of music instead of the 80min of audio only.
*

700mb almost equivalent 80min of CD audio...
unless u means mp3 file in CD then different story...

but if u no intention to change ur CD player and no particular in music quality, get a MP3 modulator instead... smile.gif

Yeap, I find it a bit too expensive too. The Premium Version 1.3L would be the most worth for Money I guess
*

no too worth for RM60,000 for 1.5 myvi... i rather go for persona which have better comfort...
unless p2 upgraded the suspension system and reduce the car ground clearance...
otherwise highly doubt the car will turtle / oversteer while cornering with high speed...

6 years change battery once only? shocking.gif
*

maybe 2nd time oledi? 3 years once sound reasonable...

anyway, my myvi about 4 years 9 months but battery still original from p2 factory...
but i still believe his battery can last till 5-6 years... tongue.gif

I hope the new 1.5 edition has better handling than the old MYVI . The old myvi really has dangerous handling . I once nearly go turtle taking a corner at 70 km/h only .
.
*

maybe u steer ur car too fast...
if u steer too fast, ur tires may losing the grip with road, later will end up understeer / oversteer...

i also tried with 80km/h at LDP Damansara Utama Tunnel and the tight corner in front LDP furniture... no issues too...

Hi guys..

I am new here..Just done 30k km with my myvi,,I've got few questions..

1. Do we have to change cabin filter (RM28.80) every 10,000 km?
2. I refused to change spark plug this time since I just changed when I was doing major service @ 20,000 km. What you guys think bout dis?

rclxms.gif

Thank you for you help. This is my first car~
*

1. cabin/air con filter can get easily around RM12-15 from LYN garage sales...
2. a stock spark plug usually can use up to 20k-30k km without any problems... otherwise got for iridium spark plug as it can last 100k km as claimed... smile.gif

Anyone change gearbox before?
I feel like changing mine form auto to manual.
Any suggest?
*

no so adviseable and the hassle of replacement now and future..
perhaps consider for new myvi LB manual instead? tongue.gif
