Well, it can almost certainly be considered as warranty void because they can always blame that the workshops outside could have damaged whatever that needs to get a warranty claim. In short, if you don't service your car during the warranty period at their authorized service centres then they will very likely put the blame on others (in this case the workshop that serviced your car).

By the way, I remember last time Perodua did gave my sister's Kelisa a free 1 year warranty extension when the warranty period was over as the car was serviced at Perodua's service centre all the time.

I wonder if Perodua have rectified their braking issues like the noise and the warping problem in their latest Lagi Best model? It'll be ridiculous if it's not fixed.

First thing that comes to mind when people mentioned about having to step the brake pedal more will usually be worn out brake pads but if you're sure that your brake pads are relatively new then have your brake system checked, something is wrong somewhere if it isn't worn out brake pads.

MyVis are well known for power lag (power coming in slightly later after pressing the pedal). As the car gets heavier, it'll be normal for you to step the pedal even more. Gear jerking is pretty subjective, difficult to imagine what kind of jerk you are actually experiencing. As usual, anything that you feel might be abnormal, just verify it with the service centre and if you want a better confirmation, visit at least 2 different service centres.

What about connecting iPhone/iPod via USB to the player?

It'll be a bad move to phase out the Elegance in my opinion as it'll create some rage among the owners and those who have booked theirs.

Anyone can clarify if the new MyVi 2011 Lagi Best comes with a cabin filter? As I know, my sis' first gen did not come with it.

A dealer is already hinting the price range will be 56k-61k depending on whether it's AT or MT and the variant.

I think if they will not be phasing out the 1.3 Elegance then maybe they will drop the price a little, maybe around 1k less so that it can really be in between the 1.3 Premium and 1.5 model.

At the moment dealers are putting up the price that is shown on Perodua's website. However at the Perodua website, if you noticed, they did mentioned tentative price so it is still uncertain and under experiment. Perhaps they may decide to give this price to say the first 1,000 bookings and then they will readjust the price.

OR they could also readjust the pricing of the 1.3 models which will be rage for current owners and those who have booked.

Usually the more you borrow, they can give you slightly lower interest. Actually I was quoted by my dealer that the interest rate will be 2.98% but after that the bank gave 3.00%, however not really a big deal since the difference is not by much from a loan of 40k.

Depending on how strong your documents are like previous banking records, your job and salary etc. can determine your overall bank loan offer.

From the looks of some demo, the built-in GPS system seems to be on the Papago system. Just like Toyota's navigation system is actually powered by Garmin's software. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

Then the one I saw could have already been modded since Lockatoo GPS can still install Papago/Garmin to it.

Many SA are telling this so chances are those who booked the 1.5 SE early could get it by this week. I think the trailer would probably deliver the cars to the dealers around Wednesday/Thursday.

This can be easily solved by upgrading to a better soundproofing. The stock soundproofing is pretty bad on the latest Vios.

By the way, when did you booked yours? During the first week of launch?

My SA did not mentioned next year but he just told me that the flush type audio system definitely will come later. Maybe November/December because if early next year then a bit ridiculous.

If they really remove the flush type audio, I see this as a move to make the 1.5 Auto to have a 6k difference from the 1.3 Auto Premium. Another reason also probably to push out the navigation system since I believe many would think that they do not need it and will opt for the flush type instead.

That's what the SA mentioned right? So still unconfirmed until he really receives the car this week. All sorts of things can happen that delays the car delivery.

1.5 SE with multimedia in black color. But if you saw only one truck then I think there's only about 8 units there.

Passed by my dealer's stockyard and saw a yellow and black 1.5 SE parked there. So gave him a call and he confirmed it's mine. Will be receiving it on Friday.
