doh.gif Viewsonic's history in CRT/LCD monitor is even longer than LG & Samsung. They WERE the largest manufacturer in US. My tiny 15" Viewsonic LCD purchased on Year 2001 is still going strong, now only had 4-5 dead pixels on the corner.

So my vote goes to Viewsonic.

Yeah, my 17" Viewsonic bought in 2004 still working well till today. Put it at my hometown now, so far only one dead pixel, which is not that visible. I'm impressed. laugh.gif

IPS had better color reproduction and able to show actual 24-bit (16 million) color while the current TN panel is only capable to show 18-bit (262k).
IPS had wider viewing angle.

But...

Unless you are putting the TN and IPS panel side by side, you won't feel the difference.
I am always staying at the screen at 90 deg. at most 60-120 deg. so the wider view had no effect on me.
I am not too cheesy about red being a true red and a not-too red red.
Bottom word, if you see the screen and feel comfortable about it, then it does its job.

After going through some homework, I found two suitable monitors to replace my TN monitor. They are:

- IPS236V
- U2312HM

Any recommendation on the above monitor?
I usually use for gaming, watch movies and edit photos.

About USB ports, my keyboard comes with 3 USB ports so it doesn't really bother me to have extra USB ports. I use DVI cable to connect my computer to monitor.

Thanks.
