I'm still contemplating between the LG IPS236V-PN or Dell UltraSharp U231HM.
Main usages will be entertainment and photos editing. Will mount it on the wall. Between 5ms and 8ms. |

Thanks guys for the input, it seems the Dell U2312HM still wins ya?
I thought of getting the LG tomorrow from LYP Viewnet. Looks like I'll need to sit down and consider again. |

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Sep 11 2011, 12:26 AM) I heard that the LG monitor has a horrible stand Ah ha! That I agree. I'm so used to the industrial look of Dell monitors because I'm using it in the office as dual display. If you prefer stand functionality and the industrial sort of look then the Dell U2312HM would be the way to go. Still, since I'm going to mount it on the wall, I guess that doesn't matter anymore. |

QUOTE(Sky.Live @ Sep 11 2011, 03:02 AM) LG have no adjustable stand, for me it's one of the most important features of monitor to have good ergonomics.. Not sure why most manufacturer opt for fancy but useless stand Yeah, I noticed that part too. Since I have no intention to put it on my table, I guess the stand doesn't really matter to me. Will mount it on wall, to save space and it provides convenience when I watch movies from my bed. |

I finally got the LG IPS236V-PN but haven't tried it out because the seller sealed it in a box.
I wanted to get the Dell's U2312HM but this LG was sold to me at RM 450 for a month old usage. 3 years warranty. The price was difficult to resist. Can't wait to try out tonight. |

If you want second hand, I think you can get a better one.
I got mine for RM 450, it is an LG 23.6" IPS LED and uses HDMI. Less than 2 months old. |

Yeah, my 17" Viewsonic bought in 2004 still working well till today. Put it at my hometown now, so far only one dead pixel, which is not that visible. I'm impressed.

I'll rather upgrade to a cheaper graphic card to support 1920x1080 rather than changing back to a smaller 19".
I'm now on 23.6" and loving the Full HD. |
