What a shame I come across this interesting debate a little too late, would love to give my 2 cents but for those who are still unsure, just believe the rest here that distribution doesn't increase your wealth.

Heheh - specifically MUTUAL FUNDS' distribution, since NAV calculations are EXACT (ignoring movements of the funds' underlying assets), UNLIKE stock market's valuation after a dividend is shot out of a stock (imperfect). if i switch my fund to another fund which is going to declare gross distribution soon(eg: next month), will i be entitle distribution?

which counter are they investing? and what are they doing? etc etc

Fund Reports > Fund Review See those PDF links? I'm not a PM user/agent, took me less than 1 minit to see them Again, u r not going to see the full list, only the major holdings. Only inside the annual report u can see the full list.

If client's portfolio is not performing, agent's commission will be lesser when the client sells the fund. Since dividend fund is not something profitable then why would the agents introducing these funds to clients?
