im facing the same issue now.
it happen quite frequent lately with the engine slow response and needed hard acceleration to get the car moving. the jerking issue is getting worse now, even my colleague in my ride thought i did it in purpose, car will jerk while braking.
my insight is hitting 25k km. i hope this Insight will proof those hybrid haters wrong...haha

if this continue, I will sell this insight and get a civic or camry.

hmnn..how much exactly the SC is charging us for the semi sync engine oil?
was it RM 117.41 or RM99.80

They give 15% discount on the semi sync engine oil, so is 117.41 - 15% . Will upload the invoice for my 5th service due in another month.

arghh... the two nut cover of my front wiper arms were stolen, exposing the silver nut.

I am not sure when other stuff like the radio antenna will be targetted. for time being, just going to buy a can of black paint and spray the nut black so it does not look too obvious that the rubber is missing.

according to him, Kah Motor will be having a service campaign on 19-20th November at Puchong Service Center and 3rd-4th Dec 2011 at Chan Sow Lin Service Center.

If you bring your car to these SC for service during this campaign, you will be entitled for a free 20-point safety inspection + 25% off discount for parts replacement

Wooo...test drive Toyota Prius yesterday...not bad especially start engine (no sound) but Insight much more comfortable... Probably leather seat Very quiet indeed but when you accelerate, you can hear the engine roaring a bit...don't like the sound...prefer insight more...

Ask the salesman about the incident in Kerinchi highway where prius caught fire(first in the world). It is because that fella change the radio into navi radio cum touch screen. Somehow the wiring touch the high voltage and caught fire I think. Salesman no comment

Did check the engine bonnet, very complex. Not as simple as insight. Modification is hard and at your own risk as the generator is beside the engine(High Voltage).

Still prefer insight...sportier...easier to mod and comfortable... That's my opinion....

Your SC allow you to use mineral oil? My SC told me the the quote is with semi -sync oil, all insight use semi sync by default.

I think he paid extra for alignment and balancing. But you right! We don't need syn oil. The manual recommend 0W-20
detergent oil displaying the API Certification Seal.

I never test drive Prius... but the interior of prius make me so envy, so nice!!! ... our insight is distance away . no choice.. 40k different. lol

Bring the manual along. There is no such thing as must use semi so long it meets the minimum recommendation of the manufacturer.

Same, here...ask the SC and they told me is semi-sync oil for insight(standard)... Mine SC in Chan Sow Lin.

Oh, ya talking of distance Prius air cond is one of a kind...Can work even engine idle or stop... Very cold indeed and powerful...doesn't use radiator coolant...use wind/air...that's what salesman told me... another Toyota technology...

Don't worry, insight dashboard is much much better than Nissan Teana.... 70K++ different Did test drive but not me...My bro did... Me seat back seat and watch...

last time the civic hybrid air con also can work during engine stop...heard that the compressor was driven by electric. but maybe want to cut cost, this was taken away for inisight model and we get hot air during engine idle

Alamak...cut cost again... Did thought of buying second hand civic hybrid (2009) but did not...Insight much better looking...
