1) Alarm will trigger  when u open the door using key while car is alarmed
2) Close all door and press the lock / unlock button. If only you have the spare key then have to key in code .
3) After success, no more blinking...

I guess our low budget cobra alarm 4400 is might not suitable for Connex. Maybe check the model of cobra alarm system in other Honda cars which might compatible with Connex.

hi babysmile,

thanks for the replies.

from what you mentioned, it proves that my alarm really got problem.
because when the problem (alarm triggered even i unlock and open door, alarm still trigger) and if alarm sounded, i press the remote lock/unlock key also cannot disable the sound.

yeah i believe our built in alarm does not work with connex, although they are same from cobra. Because, when i installed the cobra connex that time, my cobra pin code is changed, means they actually changed my cobra alarm i believe, because the pin code for each alarm is fixed is not wrong, only if u change a new device, then the pin code can be changed. When i sent to troubleshoot my alarm, they also changed the fusebox and said the alarm cannot "talk" with connex.

so i believe now my car is locked but no alarm? because the cobra button is not blinking. and when i open door manually using key also no sound even the car is alarmed. damn.

You mentioned door lock but alarm not working... then -

1) try open the door then see got hazard signal is auto ?
2) engine can start ?

if criteria one is no then criteria two is yes, then confirm alarm is not working and suspect the fuse is the culprit. Try check the fuse box if possible.

Must be some wiring have short circuit ... ask the installer to check properly...

babysmile,

yes, u are rite. 1) no and 2) yes.

so i think u are rite that the alarm is not working. my fusebox just changed recently only about 3-4 weeks ago.

sweat.gif

like that means my car is in risk now, because no alarm.

fast fast go check the fuse box... easy to locate if from Honda Owner Manual but if there is extra fuse involve for Cobra / Connex , then you better quickly go to Cobra Center for assistance.

You can suggest to Cobra ask them install the City Cobra system since you have use with Connex before without any problem.

Do share with us on the outcome, so I can compile this problem on the first page for other Connex users on our Honda Insight. Thanks.

babysmile,

ok sure. i will check with the honda sc and cobra since sc is the one that helped to change the fuse box.

besides, i think they are using same cobra system as city for my insight. but looks like only insight got problem with it.

will update on the outcome of it.

weird...my service center in puchong requires me to go back for service every 5,000km interval
furthermore, they never return me the balance of engine oil everytime I went there for service hmm.gif
perhaps i should switch to the SC in Klang

This is a serious matter, bro. There are irregular practices among Honda service centers, even they are under the same umbrella. I think this due to the fact that HM has no direct control over the these SC, unlike UMW has over their SC whereby all of these SC's operation is being regulated by UMW. Correct me if I'm wrong.
To me, it seems like the dealers are actually running the show behind these SC. Why is it that I'm getting 7k service interval while others offer 5k service interval only? Worse, some didn't even return the balance engine oil. At least HM has to ensure service operation is standardize across all SC.

Yar. Is a huge issue if some SC allow 7k service interval and some not. Have anyone make a complain? What is HM feedback?

With over 60% city and 40% highway I managed to clock 1024km for RM109 (RON95). So about 714Km for 40 liter or 1024km for 57.37liter. I believe if all highway driving I can hit 1000km.
