Good, very good, first CC to use the No.8 for marketing purposes for the Year of the Dragon. Hopefully soon we can see  8% cash back cards.

That's a very cool.... 8% Cash Back on every spend will be nice indeed.
Or raise all Cash Back capping to RM88 or RM118 or RM128 or .... whistling.gif sweat.gif

iirc, historically in this forum, pbbank has a lower approval for first-timers.

I don't think that is a good question because that info usually needs to be provided to many type of new application like for example Unifi.

Not sure if this can be posted here. I submitted global blue tax refund forms at Paris and requested the refunds to be credited back into my MBB2 MasterCard.

Upon checking my statement today, I noticed my treatspoint have been deducted for the amount of refund I received (RM1- 1pts).

MBB mentioned the transactions have a code of "goods refund", I explained this is not a full refund of products purchased, but tax refund. MBB will file an appeal to management, but no promise at all. I was even advised not to do this again because my treatspoint will be deducted again and I could be suspected of money laundering!

Another funny thing is, I have never used this card at all for any purchase in Paris! It is so unfair to have the points deducted this way.

Anyone else?

Err, what exactly is wrong with this scenario? You buy an item for say RM1000 but you are entitled to RM100 tax refund. You opted to refund to the same card, thus your purchase was in reality only for RM900. Nothing wrong for you to only get points for RM900 purchase.

Or you were expecting a RM100 credit to your account? This was probably not done due to the fees involved.

Paris is most likely because the tax refund company is based there.

Maximum CC interest rate is set by BNM. Minimum is up to bank. Typically most cards will just follow whatever is set by ABM.

To be honest, i would expect a full refund to my nominated credit card account without my rewards points being deducted too! Besides, he did not use this card to pay for the purchases. He either paid in cash or used another credit card to pay for his purchases. Anyway, whether he used cash or credit card is irrelevant.

I totally agree with you. I suggest you to write-in to their customer service recovery department to voice your dissatisfaction over this matter.

Yes usually u need to be working in the same company for some time so that it makes an impression of ur secured salary. About 6 months to 1 year to be better.

Anyway, if u apply card from the bank that has your savings account then i believe the probability to get approved is much higher

can, as long as ur annual income sufficient enough for the card u want to apply...doesnt need to 3 months payslip so much if u are fixed income earner, ie:u drawing 2500 every month, just give them latest month payslip will do or epf statement, for bank statement is to show the salary crediting when ur payslip is not acceptable, so they will only pend u the doc.

just submit copy of ur NRIC and your payslip along with application form then will do, anything the staff u call u up or they will mail to u and fllw up with any additional docs they need.

RM2700/month = more than RM30K per year, you should qualify for a credit card with most banks. The thing is, you must take the initiative and go do some work and fill up the application form (and you will then also be informed on the documents required) instead of relying on your friend who is not processing your application and has no authority to approve or disapprove your application.
