Is there any personal loan in kl that can use car as collateral. I'm a foreigner, and my car is the only thing that i can probably use for it.

Hi xamido,

I'm not sure for foreigner,
For local bank, they still prefer for Malaysian or permanent citizen.
Collateral still subject to your vehicle, the more valuable your car, the more likelihood you will get the loan, but for vehicle, not sure. since it not really an assets. In some cases, you can still provide other asset ownership as extra.

By the way, if you want better income with fixed salaries range, you can try as a customer service consultant, since nowadays, lot of them better pay than $1,500, these job has more demand in salary range.

Some bank will charge you a penalty if you fully pay the loan early, subject to banks.
Early settlement will be charge and calculated from the initial loan amount.

From? If Singapore should be ok, or with PR permit. The others way is to refinance your car.

Maximum is 15 to 20 year repayment, subject to your aged and salary, that applied to private sector.
For government, maximum is 25 year. not sure if can extend more than that.

Hi All,

I'm Malaysian and I've been working in Singapore for the past 1 year or so.

Have a car loan, some credit cards and personal loan back home. My question is, am i still able to get personal loan even if i'm working in Singapore and has no EPF contribution for the past 1 year?

Am thinking Easy by RHB as it is the fastest. Other recommendations can consider too. Getting married soon so need more moooolah.

Thanks All!

not able to confirm that,
Just bring some documents as usual for loan requirement, that included confirmation letter from your employer in Singapore, and approach their banks, they will bring a better solution for your case. flex.gif

You could try Bank Rakyat, rate 3.30% above.
http://www.bankrakyat.com.my/web/guest/aslah

Bank Simpanan Nasional, 4.10% above

and other valid promotion from local bank,

One thing, i advice EVERYONE to always always always double check

In life, there is no such thing as a personal loan with less than 4% interest rates.

Its impossible. full stop.

if a bank offers a personal loan at less than 4% interest rate, then its probably a hidden flat rate loan with 6%+ effective interest rate

please please please please please double triple check the installments with a financial calculator.

Thats all. bye

afaik, easy RHB require EPF transcript to apply, which is check and printed when you go see them. so..chances are you cant apply Easy RHB

if u (or your soon to be wife) can apply with Bank Rakyat, by any means apply with them. Next is Bank Islam.
