I tried getting PL from RHB & CIMB, during conversation with the consultant, he, said my case is very hard since I'm going for 10K loan with only RM1.5K salary without CCRIS (also cannot do 10k since loan is 5x basic salary). This will be my 1st loan of any kind.

so he suggest me do ASB loan of RM30K minimum to establish good CCRIS, then try apply PL after few month, > 6 month if possible. he also said if within same bank, 2-3 month CCRIS can be considered already but no chance if different bank, need at least 6 month CCRIS.

does he speak truth? is there any other way? it's unlucky coz I never heard of CTOS, CCRIS and all these before. now that I need money urgently...so many obstacles.

If I know must have CCRIS, I would've done ASB loan last year sad.gif
*
By the way, do mind why you need to loan $10,000 since personal loan interest is much higher.
Glad you have ASB, I want also not eligible biggrin.gif

it's for personal use..there's no other way already. PL is the only way now...sigh

btw, where can I find the interest rate for BSN promo you post above?
*
The promotion only for limited offer, and end till this 31 December this year.
Maybe you could go visit their branch, and have a discussion about it.
I don't have contact with their personal loan before.

Hi
Not sure if this is the correct thread to post this Q in but here goes..

can i take up personal loan to pay for my car downpayment..mebbe just need to top-up like RM 5000...
*
Dear bonkers28,

Why you need personal loan to pay for your down payment instead of car loan available, personal loan is high in interest comparing car loan. but for your question, Yes, you can take personal loan to pay it.
From my viewpoint, the reason some people prefer personal loan instead of car loan is because the bank didn't approved the loan amount because the loan amount is way too small, such as second hand vehicle below $15,000 because i approach the banker from a bank, he say unable to loan that amount due to small size.

it seem you in good hand n kinda have valid reason for getting car.

have you consider motorcycle?

why dont u use ur saving? brows.gif

if ur PL for 5K, how long you intend to pay the repayments?
sometimes it is good to let others know how much u earn so they could really grab ur situation.
*
If personal loan only $5,000, better don't bother to loan, if you could save at later or really urgent to get it. but $5,000 personal loan, just two month can settle.
Motorcycle, I just hate it. notworthy.gif

2) yeah yeah, girl can ride motorbike too BUT i don't even know how to ride a bicycle..

hhmmm..since most u guys say not worth to take PL, then i'll have to re-consider and find other options

If you not really urgent for it, you could find your workmate, ask them to fetch you for temporarily, and once collect $5,000 then go get your first car.

It still depend on yourselves, if you really fine with the interest then it shall be okey, since not all personal loan high in interest, some are low but always come with term and conditions.

Just an option, hope you drive your new car as well. a portion of them buy car as an investment to ease their jobs and time of travel.
I will go for motorcar, to bring other promotion and relevant items from place to place.

Hi All,

are there any small loans scheme around 5k? .... sometimes just want to borrow small amount and clear things rather than borrow money from friends n relatives (they give u sh!t and non-stop claimed u owed them favours for life)
*
Hi chanti-sama,

Yes, the smallest amount for personal loan should be $5,000 and it is available. Just do your own research and pick for the best tenure and lowest interest that suit your requirement.
But bear in mind, the interest for loan $5,000 is a little bit high.

guys, what do you think of AEON i-cash?
*
It easy to apply Aeon services, but not sure about the personal loan.
Last time, Aeon Credit Service very high in interest. not sure about now. that's last year, is that true interest as low as 0.9% for non-member from $10,000 above, or 0.9% for each month which equal to 10.8% per annum.
Any idea?

Too expensive, not worth to take this Aeon Credit Services,
No wonder it not hard to apply shakehead.gif

If you want to apply personal loan, will you take this company if have better option.

CIMB Xpress Cash, 2% p.m. @ 24% p.a.

much cheaper than CIMB no? brows.gif

Obviously, haha rclxms.gif
You just compare one of the bank in Malaysia only, not all of them.
Then, if i put this ? if that only $5,000.

http://www.alliancebank.com.my/Personal-Ba...-CashFirst.aspx

The loan amount increasing, the more interest will be reduce. that applied to some portion of bank in Malaysia.
Such as BSN latest personal loan promotion but subject to term and condition, promotion always come from time to time, just to own research before take a personal loan, who know you might get a personal loan that pay less than existing.
Personal loan is not really worth, except you know what you're doing then should be fine, but some smart intelligence use personal loan to increase their wealth and cash flow, mostly people use personal loan to make themselves getting poor.

So, are you one of the smart intelligence ? drool.gif

both are cheap, but...their rules quite strict since need >2K monthly. those I post for >800 income peoples

I, myself, earn RM1.5K a month...so, bank islam n alliance is no no, unless they could lower down the requirement, then I'm all in. tbh, i've seen all kinds of repayment table from all bank and financing institution, do some calculations, only RHB & CIMB left as choice. AEON is because I ask certain agent to look for me, and he give me AEON i-Cash. I talk to him thru phone today afternoon, and ask him to send repayment table, forms, and rules

tbh, i despise personal loan, but this time is an exception since i really need money urgently before next year. the only loan i would do, ASB loan. maybe i would do PL in future if i could find a way to multiply the loaned $$ exceed that of PL made. or maybe an overlap. its all depends.

to get this PL i did so much research to the extend maybe if a bank need new hire, that would be me..that's just me, research to the max till i muntah & having PL monthers chasing me in my wet dream biggrin.gif
*
Ah, good to heard you can invest in Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB). it not opened for me, at least.
Yup, correct. AEON is very easy to loan. Last time, one of my pal, income per month average around $1,300 and he still eligible to loan $5,000. but the interest kinda high, that incident happened on the last year.

*
What is Aeon CC?
do you mean credit card?
Not really, if you're not members, then probably the interest will be varies a bit, depend their term and condition. normally, Aeon Credit Service give more lower interest to their existing member. you can still apply it for sure, but not sure about the interest rates. you may ask them when they contact you regarding your loan amount later.

ya telemarketing but is quite a good deal for those who needs cash urgently
*
Yes, probably. Update with the new promo, insurance plan, latest loan rate and other that normally do cost money.
they can just simply update these info via mailing or e-mail, annoy when keep calling more than once since already stated not interested, and here we go, pursuit idea.

previously, from Public Bank, try to cons me with an insurance plan without cash back. then, i cut all their services and withdraw from Public Bank as well head a complain to them.

Just simply leave and cut their middle of conversation, stated ; not interested and wish do not call back. All telemarketer should know about it.

Is there any personal loan in kl that can use car as collateral. I'm a foreigner, and my car is the only thing that i can probably use for it.
*
Hi xamido,

I'm not sure for foreigner,
For local bank, they still prefer for Malaysian or permanent citizen.
Collateral still subject to your vehicle, the more valuable your car, the more likelihood you will get the loan, but for vehicle, not sure. since it not really an assets. In some cases, you can still provide other asset ownership as extra.

By the way, if you want better income with fixed salaries range, you can try as a customer service consultant, since nowadays, lot of them better pay than $1,500, these job has more demand in salary range.

Some bank will charge you a penalty if you fully pay the loan early, subject to banks.
Early settlement will be charge and calculated from the initial loan amount.

Maximum is 15 to 20 year repayment, subject to your aged and salary, that applied to private sector.
For government, maximum is 25 year. not sure if can extend more than that.

Hi All,

I'm Malaysian and I've been working in Singapore for the past 1 year or so.

Have a car loan, some credit cards and personal loan back home. My question is, am i still able to get personal loan even if i'm working in Singapore and has no EPF contribution for the past 1 year?

Am thinking Easy by RHB as it is the fastest. Other recommendations can consider too. Getting married soon so need more moooolah.

Thanks All!
*
not able to confirm that,
Just bring some documents as usual for loan requirement, that included confirmation letter from your employer in Singapore, and approach their banks, they will bring a better solution for your case. flex.gif

Your meaning of "abroad" is Singapore?
Then, should be no problem. As usual, provide other document to support your details to the bank.
