Let say, I want to have maximum personal loan applicable for my current salary (example only), and I'm working for private company.

Gross salary: RM1200
Incentives: a few...normally few hundreds (lets keep this fella out of calculation aight guys?)

Preference of payment: fast settle, least duration possible

Amount to loan: maximum applicable for mentioned salary, minimum of RM5K the least

Details: this is my 1st loan, working for 1 year already.

So the questions:

1) based on your exp, which banking institution offer best loan and payment? I check CIMB, 2% of total loan. if RM5K, it is RM100/month for interest only

2) if I loan, can I apply for Skim Amanah Rakyat 1Malaysia (SARA 1Malaysia) later on? or should I apply SARA 1Malaysia 1st, then only apply loan?

3) how to calculate everything? just a formula or example will do. I'll try to figure anything else myself..really clueless where should I start

4) can I take out the SARA 1Malaysia from ASB during the 5 years duration?

5) any other option other than bank loan? no along please

6) that's all for now I guess...back to reading more on loans smile.gif

I tried getting PL from RHB & CIMB, during conversation with the consultant, he, said my case is very hard since I'm going for 10K loan with only RM1.5K salary without CCRIS (also cannot do 10k since loan is 5x basic salary). This will be my 1st loan of any kind.

so he suggest me do ASB loan of RM30K minimum to establish good CCRIS, then try apply PL after few month, > 6 month if possible. he also said if within same bank, 2-3 month CCRIS can be considered already but no chance if different bank, need at least 6 month CCRIS.

does he speak truth? is there any other way? it's unlucky coz I never heard of CTOS, CCRIS and all these before. now that I need money urgently...so many obstacles.

If I know must have CCRIS, I would've done ASB loan last year sad.gif

Maybe you could go visit their branch, and have a discussion about it.
I don't have contact with their personal loan before.

Hi
Not sure if this is the correct thread to post this Q in but here goes..

can i take up personal loan to pay for my car downpayment..mebbe just need to top-up like RM 5000...
*
to answer yours, you can.

imo, it's not a good idea. do you have saving in case of sudden need of money? how much is your salary? bought what car? new or second? you really need a car? do you consider second hand? will you be able to pay both PL and car loan..along with other commitment?

how much is your salary? that's PnC ler

bought what car? MyVi

new or second? New

you really need a car? Yes, there is no public transportation near my office

do you consider second hand?  No, unless you can guarantee me that the car is in good condition and will be problem free

will you be able to pay both PL and car loan..along with other commitment? the only other loan i have is my housing loan but that only starts in 3 yrs time...
*

it seem you in good hand n kinda have valid reason for getting car.

have you consider motorcycle?

why dont u use ur saving? brows.gif

if ur PL for 5K, how long you intend to pay the repayments?

sometimes it is good to let others know how much u earn so they could really grab ur situation.

If personal loan only $5,000, better don't bother to loan, if you could save at later or really urgent to get it. but $5,000 personal loan, just two month can settle.
Motorcycle, I just hate it.  notworthy.gif
*
u not bonkers28 maa...motorcycle really save a lot. i only spent RM20 petrol money going back n forth at work for a month rclxms.gif compared to car petrol money.... shocking.gif cry.gif

anyway, i also agree with u, 5K is not worth it for PL, but if no other way, that's the last choice we can count on. if can pinjam from relative better since no need pay interest, but if anything happen, lose face ah

to me, he seems someone who could manage his money well, getting 5K PL and settle it asap should be no problem it seems, but if he can find other way of getting 5K, then he should avoid PL at any cost.

hehe...i might consider motorbike but...

1) i'm a girl lah    wub.gif
2) yeah yeah, girl can ride motorbike too BUT i don't even know how to ride a bicycle..

hhmmm..since most u guys say not worth to take PL, then i'll have to re-consider and find other options
time to makan rumput to save up for that car   tongue.gif
*
if female then I suggest you not consider motorbike. it's kinda not safe to ride,u know lah the crimes...snatch cases. unless u the brave-type girl, or your home-workplace-home route is safe, then by any means get a ride.

if u get a bike, by any means always store your belonging is the repository, even if u lazy, it is compulsory. also never ride alone, or at dark/dim lighted area. go for crowd area and lock your bike, always!! also, riding bike is piece of cake, much more easier than learning driving a car..but u need B license then

i think a scooter would do u good. but if u already have D license, then </pls refer to adolph's suggestion>

yup PL is not worth it, but if there are no other way, that's your only way out. however if ur car would help u a lot, not just home-workplace-home stuff, but u need it for your job..just get it. it's an investment

If you not really urgent for it, you could find your workmate, ask them to fetch you for temporarily, and once collect $5,000 then go get your first car.

It still depend on yourselves, if you really fine with the interest then it shall be okey, since not all personal loan high in interest, some are low but always come with term and conditions.
Just an option, hope you drive your new car as well. a portion of them buy car as an investment to ease their jobs and time of travel.
I will go for motorcar, to bring other promotion and relevant items from place to place.
*
ya2..sharing car is good idea. bonkers28 just topup petrol money once in awhile is ok d. I'm sure the other party will be glad also since your friend can save a lot by sharing car.

Last time, Aeon Credit Service very high in interest. not sure about now. that's last year, is that true interest as low as 0.9% for non-member from $10,000 above, or 0.9% for each month which equal to 10.8% per annum.
Any idea?
*

it is 0.84% p.m..means 10.08% p.a.

You just compare one of the bank in Malaysia only, not all of them.
Then, if i put this ? if that only $5,000.

http://www.alliancebank.com.my/Personal-Ba...-CashFirst.aspx

The loan amount increasing, the more interest will be reduce. that applied to some portion of bank in Malaysia.
Such as BSN latest personal loan promotion but subject to term and condition, promotion always come from time to time, just to own research before take a personal loan, who know you might get a personal loan that pay less than existing.
Personal loan is not really worth, except you know what you're doing then should be fine, but some smart intelligence use personal loan to increase their wealth and cash flow, mostly people use personal loan to make themselves getting poor.

So, are you one of the smart intelligence ?   drool.gif

http://www.bankislam.com.my/en/Pages/Packa...rsonalFinancing
*
both are cheap, but...their rules quite strict since need >2K monthly. those I post for >800 income peoples

I, myself, earn RM1.5K a month...so, bank islam n alliance is no no, unless they could lower down the requirement, then I'm all in. tbh, i've seen all kinds of repayment table from all bank and financing institution, do some calculations, only RHB & CIMB left as choice. AEON is because I ask certain agent to look for me, and he give me AEON i-Cash. I talk to him thru phone today afternoon, and ask him to send repayment table, forms, and rules

tbh, i despise personal loan, but this time is an exception since i really need money urgently before next year. the only loan i would do, ASB loan. maybe i would do PL in future if i could find a way to multiply the loaned $$ exceed that of PL made. or maybe an overlap. its all depends.

to get this PL i did so much research to the extend maybe if a bank need new hire, that would be me..that's just me, research to the max till i muntah & having PL monthers chasing me in my wet dream biggrin.gif

Yup, correct. AEON is very easy to loan. Last time, one of my pal, income per month average around $1,300 and he still eligible to loan $5,000. but the interest kinda high, that incident happened on the last year.

do you mean credit card?
Not really, if you're not members, then probably the interest will be varies a bit, depend their term and condition. normally, Aeon Credit Service give more lower interest to their existing member. you can still apply it for sure, but not sure about the interest rates. you may ask them when they contact you regarding your loan amount later.
*

yup, credit card. non-cc holder interest is 0.84 p.m....cc holder got 0.8 p.m...not much different tho brows.gif

I'm Malaysian and I've been working in Singapore for the past 1 year or so.

Have a car loan, some credit cards and personal loan back home. My question is, am i still able to get personal loan even if i'm working in Singapore and has no EPF contribution for the past 1 year?

Am thinking Easy by RHB as it is the fastest. Other recommendations can consider too. Getting married soon so need more moooolah.

Thanks All!
*
afaik, easy RHB require EPF transcript to apply, which is check and printed when you go see them. so..chances are you cant apply Easy RHB

if u (or your soon to be wife) can apply with Bank Rakyat, by any means apply with them. Next is Bank Islam.
