stupid Unifi..
I already registered Unifi, The installation was supposed to be schedule on 11/11/2011. On Tuesday(1/11/2011) someone from Unifi called me from this no (0362751810) and forced me to schedule installation on Wednesday(2/11/2011) but I rejected because I am working on that day. Then he said on Thursday, but I rejected for same reason. Then, I agree to schedule the installation on Friday(4/11/2011) as I will take leave on that day. Unfortunately ‘Janji Hanya Tinggal Janji’. Not a single call from Unifi said the installation is cancel. Then, I called back the no. He said he don’t know who’s is calling me and anything about the schedule. Damn.. Suppose to work but whole day doing nothing.. This post has been edited by cipan2001: Nov 4 2011, 09:21 PM |

Guys,
what is the different in registration between of reseller and online ? Reseller told me is same, if via online registration then free 1 month subscription but need to pay deposit. Via reseller no need to pay deposit but no free 1 month subscription fees. and both are same price, not sure if the reseller blah me Thank you ! |

QUOTE(alvincks @ Nov 4 2011, 10:00 PM) Guys, I did mine online which I find is better than reseller because of the free one month subscription costing RM149 which is a lot can buy new Asus router XD. There is no deposit needed, I think the reseller is pulling your leg. The unifi installation is easy, register online, schedule installation, complete installation and it is ready to use on the spot. The bill will be pro rated.what is the different in registration between of reseller and online ? Hey guys, is the DIR bad for heavy downloads? I'm not torrenting, just DDL but I am using download accelerator. 10 threads each time. Each time I start download everything starts to crawl.
I always capped my download to not hog all bandwidth. For example my 1Mbps streamyx, capped to 100kB/s. 4Mbps = 400kBps. I capped my 5Mbps to 500kB/s. I know there's a lot of room left as I can achieve as high as 575kBps for my downloads but everything is just a crawl when I start downloading. |

Hi fellow LYN-ers,
Yesterday the contractor came over to my house to install Unifi but i didnt quite agree with the route they wanna take so i postponed the installation. My house is as pictured below: ![]() The fiber optic is coming in from the back of my house so they actually have to drill through the rooms to reach the living room upstairs (Spider mark). The contractors said my route is dangerous for them and it is not within standard installation; so they refuse to accept my route and suggested to drill through the rooms; which i disagree. Any comments?! This post has been edited by The 1 Coward: Nov 5 2011, 09:08 AM |

Been downloading at that speed since installation still on good performance. I capped my torrent speed to 450kb because I face the same problem as you. If I cap at 500kb, the browsing is still slow.I always capped my download to not hog all bandwidth. For example my 1Mbps streamyx, capped to 100kB/s. 4Mbps = 400kBps. I capped my 5Mbps to 500kB/s.
