So, we need to get a new phone no. for Unifi. We can't use existing phone number. Hence my next question, can the Unifi phone line enter my Intercom system?

I'm planning to get VIP5 for my house and I'm currently using a Panasonic KX-TES824 intercom phone system. Thanks.

This question has been asked and answered like a million times. Here it goes again, NO u cannot transfer yr old number or what ever number to Unifi. Unifi comes with its own number bundled together be it VIP or BIZ package.

Yes u can connect the unifi line to your TES824.

The dir 615 works well for me. When I download torrents the speed will usually be 500kb and above which shows it can handle to load. Been downloading at that speed since installation still on good performance. I capped my torrent speed to 450kb because I face the same problem as you. If I cap at 500kb, the browsing is still slow.

U dl through LAN? I can't pull LAN cable so... Wifi drops me every few mins ==

QUOTE(rattan @ Nov 5 2011, 03:14 PM)
When did u apply?
*
I'm just trying to tell that there's no deposit.
Anyway, I applied 6 months prior of installation because... reseller came when TM pull the fibre along my condo roadside (1 month after I move in) but don't know why delayed that long till end of last year only they start installing. Ngam ngam half month before TM start the free installation and monthly fee promotion but we can bear no more life without internet. Din reject previous installtion and resubscribe UniFi for the promotion. haha

I am very sure you did not read my earlier post. I am NOT torrenting. I've stop torrenting years ago. Nowadays I'm just DDL. Max only 10 connection per download, 1 download only at any time.

ohh din notise.. rolleyes.gif

if its not the port then its mostly router. when u download file from fast server (like microsoft.com or filehippo) the speed is gradually increading to max or when u click download start at max odi?

if gradually then ask tm to replace router..

anyway if u read my much earlier post and others u will see many ppl happy to cash out for prob free router.. now about rm100 is enough for the basic but stable one.. unifi in my house was rating 0 now is rating 10 after i replace stock (now respec TM ) thumbup.gif see my sig there r many option can choose any

Instead of changing a router, I'm thinking I might as well get an access point and put it at the center of the house. Anyone knows where can I get a 50m Ethernet Cable?

50m ethernet cable can be bought at your nearest PC shop, custom one I think, non-branded.

its depends on the availablity of the installation date in the online application? so we get free 1month subscription in the first month after installation and the free 30days viewing channels?

Okay after long time of dilemma-ing i might actually plan to get Unifi VIP5. I just wanna ask..
1) If i install everything downstairs, and my Desktop and PS3 is on the 2nd floor, will everything still be super smooth? I know i will need to get the USB wifi thingy for the desktop, it's fine with me
2) Do i need to prepare anything when they come? eg. 4 plug socket or something

1) Can detect connection but i think ur scenario if don't want lay cables, better get good homeplug.
2) Yes, need 4 power point at downstair for 4 equipments. BTU, PG, Dect Phone, STB. At least ready 4 points 1st for installation. Later you can properly lay again nicely. I won't be using the Dect Phone at least.

Planning how the cable routing properly & measure the length. From Router to PC, allowed longer a bit for tolerance.
Then go to Shop custom made the length of cable. If budget allowed, go for CAT6 cable for future-proof a bit.
DIY. If you don't mind cable going from Grd Flr to 2nd Flr.

Otherwise, get a fast Homeplug, 1 pair, 1 at Grd flr near Router & the other 2nd flr near PC.

Those cables can buy at most Computer shop at Low Yat Plaza, better still buy from shop sell mostly Network equipment.

Homeplug is plug into power sockets, see here
http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/?categoryid=206
also can find at most computer shops. For these, ask the shop keeper explain how it works in ur scenario, he will tell you because he hope you will buy it smile.gif
