The free 15M cable is the fibre optic cable in your house. LAN cable have to buy your own, if the tv is not beside your computer. |

RM50 for every 5m of extra fibre cable and RM25 for every 5m of extra lan cable. 1m of RJ-11 included for DECT phone. RM15 for every 5m extra. That's what I TM told me when I called. |

QUOTE(jamesme135 @ Aug 14 2011, 12:09 PM) My speedtest is around 4Mb/s. Hi Friends,However, when download, the speed is mostly around 50KB/sec. Max = 200KB/sec. Anyone facing the same problem?? And i notice at night, the speed at Wireless Network Connection Status fluctuate from 54Mbps to 18Mbps... sad.gif I just got my UNIFI installed and face EXACTLY the same issues as jamesme135. I am on VIP20, and the download speed I get (quite consistently, too) is between 30Mbps and 95Mbps. Harldy anything I'd call HSBB! I can even get this same speed on my 1MB Streamyx, which I had to give up. Any router settings which might help? (Reported this to TM, they changed the router, citing that it could be linked to Router problem, did a speed test and it showed 20Mbps. They went away and I continued downloading - same problem!) Even surfing the net has some lag - about 4-5 secs for page refresh. Any help or suggestions is much appreciated. |

QUOTE(little_pixie @ Nov 3 2011, 07:36 PM) Your old phone is independent of the Unifi subscription. Unifi runs on optical fibre, not on your telephone's copper line. The thing is that Unifi comes with a free phone line (no, you cannot use back your old number), so you will have an extra line now. So you have to decide whether to cut the old line... This post has been edited by kkm: Nov 3 2011, 07:58 PM |

I already have 2 lines in my house now. Can't I just use my existing line for Unifi? The thing is that Unifi comes with a free phone line (no, you cannot use back your old number), so you will have an extra line now. So you have to decide whether to cut the old line... There's an option in the online registration. |

Ur existing line uses copper wire. There's an option in the online registration. Unifi uses fibre optic where they have to pull in a new set of wires to ur house. Its different. |
