Seriously? I already have 2 lines in my house now. Can't I just use my existing line for Unifi? doh.gif
There's an option in the online registration.

It depends on whether you want that upload speed. 4M and 5M won't be too much difference. Just the upload speed matters. Since both also got free calls. Nothing to do with ping also since TM super noob routing makes them almost the same. * laugh.gif For me la~ *

Correction. Ping on unifi is lower compared to streamyx. It is even lower if you are on FTTH. VDSL sacrifice slightly on the ping ms. Its still better then streamyx.

Stability wise, fiber optic is the way to go.

Not really. My friend hit a lower ping on his streamyx than his unifi ==

My vdsl not only sacrifice slightly. 30ms to Optical Comm server in KL, 50ms to Penangfon in Penang, 500+++++ to Cyberjaya™/YES 4G/U-Mobile/Packet One/Singapore. Anyone know why this happens? doh.gif

My speedtest Don't mind the speed coz got other ppl using. Ping is same even when i'm the one using the network

Hi Guys, newbie here.
Simple questions, is there any limited bandwidth monthly?
I saw VIP5 limit to 60GB per month?

My current streamyx:
Speed = 1Mbps
Usage = about 150GB/month.

Ur existing line uses copper wire.

Unifi uses fibre optic where they have to pull in a new set of wires to ur house. Its different.

But can't I use the same number? rclxub.gif
My numbers are nice numbers. ohmy.gif

I tested many times. No difference though. Low ping to penangfon/optical comm server ONLY. Other servers all bad routing. But all the speed ok.

You are not alone. I am using VDSL too, and getting worse ping test result than yours. My ping to S'pore was even much much faster....

im haivng TP Link 1043ND ver1.6, klseet website stated ver1.8, my question is ver1.6 can use the firmware?  does it matter?  hmm.gif
*
KLseet's website quoted a user with ver1.6 reported the firmware is working fine.

So it should be no problem biggrin.gif

On the phone number issue, u can choose to keep your old number, but Unifi will still give you a new number, no more using copper line.

However, to use the new number with your alarm system is still workable. You must ask the phone line contractor to link the new line to your existing phone line in your house. This is not 100% workable though, depending on how ur house line is connected at the DB (Distribution Box) and also where unifi cables are coming in.

On a side note, any Unifi users playing Black Ops on PS3? Do you ever get 4 bar for your connection? i am always stuck at 3 bars while every other players are 4 bars. Always die before i can shoot. sad.gif
