Gosh, luckly I asked more about the calls I received earlier.
The 4.99% PL was not actually PL. The money taken are based on your CC limit. doh.gif

Lucky I never agreed to it.

HLB credit the $$ to your saving account. Citibank credits the $$ to your Credit card account, rite?

The advantage for HLB is you can withdraw $$ cash.

HLB can be BT to a Saving Account or Credit card, both can be done.

Is BSN offer credit card with RM50 GST waiver?
*
dude..i has been pointed over and over and over and over..

GST is government tax which MUST be imposed to every single CREDIT CARD in malaysia..no banks offer waiver, but some banks do offer points upon approval to offset the GST. some even debit some $ upon approval during promo period (which also can be considered as GST payment).

CIMB only had the 0% 6-month BT program ended on 1 July 2011 to 31 Dec 2011.
As of 1 Jan 2012, no more BT program from CIMB, until further notice.

Just found out that it is not 2% for 2 years. It is 4% upfront for 2 years and it is installment type

If it is an installment type then it is not so good, high commitment and no rebate for early settlement.

I get the same BT rate from UOB but it is 1% for 6 months, charge upfront but 1 thing different is you can pay minimum payment for the first 5 months and settle it at the 6th month

As i know many good deals ended on 31 Dec 2011.

CIMB - 0% (No processing fee)
MBB - 0% (No processing fee)

Sadly, i need of balance transfer for this month at bill shot up for CNY.

Just checking / need some advices....
going to clear off my outstanding charges (my ccard) but i was thinking...
If i settle up my due payment directly, I am still holding the card but if i am about the do BT... i am seeing the AMbank BT... it has few items up as free gift including the eyephone....

http://www.ambankgroup.com/en/Promotions/C...-QuickCash.aspx

additional charges of 8.99 % to be imposed AND if the payment is settled within the time frame.. additional rm 100 is to be charged as well ..
looking at the calculation .. rm 1K .. in exchange with 2 phones..... sound better to do BT ?

this may sound silly, as we are using 1 K to actually "getting those phones for FREE" but... even if i am about to sell out these phones.. i should be in win / +ve side ?

Read carefully on the T & C, bill over 36 months, meaning you need to choose 36months in order to qualify.

Dude if you are going to pester us just because you don't want to pay GST then get a DEBIT CARD. We are not obliged or under obligation to answer you.

Hey guys, sorry if i'm asking repeated Q. just browse this thread this evening and quite tiring to read all pages to find the answer.

My simple Q is - Currently I got one CC issued by Maybank and thinking to apply another one from other bank and do BT. After finish the payment for that BT, can I do another BT after that? Cannot digest the info just by reading from their website.

Thanks!

Yes you may if they have BT Promotion. And for your info, if you have available credit, you can do more than one Balance Transfer Plan i.e. apply for 2nd or 3rd while you still have outstanding with the 1st BT. However, do note, don't make BT a habit as it is a debt and you got to pay back.
