If IMEI is lost, you can't connect to your phone network. No calls/smses GPRS/3G etc.

This is something strange, I still can make call, receive call, smsing.....just like normal, the only thing is the IMEI is no longer mine.

SGS uses 1500mAh while SGS2 uses 1650mAh

SGS2 battery is the same as SGSL thus it can be used inside SGS also. Battery life i would say still depend on user themself. Mine could last the whole day with normal usage (gaming during lunch time, browsing and FB-ing from time to time) Oh, forgot to mention that i'm using the 1650mAh battery icon_rolleyes.gif

hi
u're using SGS2 battery or SGSL battery or SGS+ battery?

Impossible. Is there a chance that you might have failed to realize that your IMEI is different all along? Got cheated by the seller?

If your EFS is corrupted, your IMEI would be:
004999010640000 or 000000000000000

There is no chance that your IMEI can change to something else, or this would be a bug that Samsung has failed to realize and people could clone other people's IMEI and eavesdrop on their SMS/Calls etc :S

SGSL and SGS+ uses the same battery. Ah got the wrong finding. Apparently the SGS2 Epic 4G variant's battery does fit on our SGS, not the international version. sorry for the wrong info.

I'm using the SGSL/SGS+ battery.

I bought this phone from Maxis, and the sell person did show me the in phone IMEI, box IMEI and IMEI sticker, all matched. When I flashed Simplicity 1.5RC2, I noticed my IMEI changed. Despite that, I can choose VPN-Maxis 3G, use Nitranity to change my product code to XME etc. But Kies displayed the product code as (XXX). See the picture below..... look great right?

i copied the /efs folder using root explorer and saved it in the PC, i didnt notice that the nv_data.bin & nv_data.bin.md5 inside the /efs foldder show 0bytes, but i do noticed .imei file still carry my correct IMEI.

i tried to restore using the copied /efs to the phone but still cannot, the phone created the new nv_data.bin and nv_data.bin.md5 itself.

I flashed the modem using ODIN and CWM. both doesn't bring my IMEI back. I called up the SSC yesterday, the guy keep asking me to bring the phone back to their SSC at plaze berjaya.

so down..... by the way, what happen if IMEI lost?

Wow. I always thought that changing your IMEI will bar you from connecting to your network. This is really weird.

I'm sad... went to Samsung at Berjaya. asked them about service to change my cover as mine already scratched. told them i bought the backplate, chrome bevel, etc myself. they said it's not that way. they will use their own pieces and it will cost me a lot. the girl said "you can buy a new phone already". if i go to another shop, warranty will void. still 4 months to go sad.gif

Hi there guys, biggrin.gif
i'm currently using darky's rom 10.2...but currently i started feel that it's so slow...to a degree that they couldn't respond in time when a call came in sometimes (still showing lock screen while the phone's ringing sad.gif)

so i thought of switching to others rom, would like to try out CM7 but since it's still on nightly build i hesitated to give it a try,any stable and quick roms out there to recommend? flex.gif
