My XXJVT with Voodoo Kernel is having problem with Wifi. Keeps disconnecting and reconnects.

Is it the ROM or my AP needs restart? But my Tab, Pad and PC was working fine though.

And finally... battery mod is back to me again!

It has to do with router settings. Set the lease time to other other than "Forever"

I have predefined a fixed ip for my phone based on mac address.

i think it's time to hop back to Simplicity

Simplicity XXJVT will also have this problem. You're using address reservation setting. Remove that and also set lease time to something that is not forever, OR set a static IP on your phone itself.

That resolved all my wifi problems for good.

This only happens on XXJVT?

EDIT: set to shorter lease time and disable the mac address ip reservation. See how it goes.

Setting fixed IP on device is no go, as it's per device IP instead of per AP IP, unlike Honeycomb's.

Shorter lease time like 1 day or 2 days. If you put it as 2minutes, it'll disconnect every 2 minutes.

And yes, it's per device IP. Sucks but that's Samsung

My wifi AP was defaulted to 1 day lease.

I m gonna miss the fixed IP I get with my earlier config.

What's wrong with JVT anyway? It was working find for earlier ROMs. Damn.
