Been thinking to change kernel since speedmod seems like stop updating his kernel on our SGS. I do notice lots of people using Talon compare to the rest. Any advice on why Talon?

Lots of upstream fixes from AOSP and Linux integrated into the kernel. ZRAM/Swap and OndemandX governor.

There's a word "Talon" before the Galaxy S bootanimation rite? too bad it's not like the real Talon with Nexus like cross, tat's much more beautiful biggrin.gif
oways used TW4.5 but memory oways not enuf for me. too bad..
it's better to use odex XXJVR or XXJVS if u din apply any customisations like theme to ur phone. a lot of difference!!
u might want to try other kernels other than DarkCore smile.gif
*
the first Talon loading thingie freaked me out sweat.gif flashed the kernel early in the morning lol.. but how come not enough memory? too many stuff running background?

Talon comes with a bit of an aggressive LMK setting without tweaking. You can tweak according to my settings in my sig in the Android Optimization thread. It's smooth after that smile.gif

oh not me with low memory.. i sorta find it ideal biggrin.gif

sweat.gif gave me a fright that i might need a new phone later today. So it's normal for Talon kernel? But why does the 100% battery indicator is there even it's not charging/not full?

Your phone didn't sleep for the whole night downloading the game. It's normal. Talon modded the battery indicator to show you the real battery indicator rather than the fake one which shows 100% when you are plugged and 5% after you're unplugged,.
*
Charged using the adapter (leaving it to charge without doing anything). Still the same. Charging stops once the battery 100% icon appears but battery is around 97% hmm.gif

Yes, root is a must before lagfix. What and how you installed a lagfix without root?
What mods are you talking about?
*
lockscreen to be exact. now i restore my battery mod and etc to default and reapply also won't be applied :/.. gonna try reflashing.

Try mounting your system partition in CWM. I usually use $omator's mods that have the system mount in the script so no problems for me.
*
I think i figure out why it will not applied. Somehow i "killed" the lockscreen mod with my own battery mod icon tongue.gif

and i wanted sgsII lockscreen for simplicity, is that even possible?

googled anywhere but i couldn't find my fit sad.gif
