Last times I used to uninstall map and reinstall map5.7.0 ownhere.zip (edit : .APK file not zip) once I flashed new ROM. Then I noted I can reinstall my old map via TB directly. No need to reboot

Just go back to the shop and make your claim. Still wondering why you need to ask such question here
If they dont entertain you and if you don't mind the hassle:

1. Lodge a report at the consumer Tribunal Court
2. Write to every newspaper to complain specifically mention shop name
3. Locate the nearest Ministry of Domestic Trade office and lodge a report of unfair/false advertising
4. Start a Facebook page and bang them up calling them cheats and liars

Lastly, please tell us the JB shop name/address so all JB guys know about them and knows how to deal with them if needed to purchase stuffs from them

Market updater freezer now. Hope to stop auto update.

On map, I still need to use TB to reinstall my old map, or use manage program to uninstall updates. This will not stop Google to auto update to new map version. This is annoying, any way to stop map auto updates?

A few users has reported such. These issues could be due to:

1. Using pirated /cracked apps obtained from ahem sources . I have a friend ( he is a noob ) who swear he doesn't use such apps and he download his apps from market. One day he show me his phone and I see in his menu - a blackmarket app. He told me the shop installed it for him and tell him, just go and download from this "market" any apps. Google is opensourced and cracked/pirated apps are therefore more destructive. Install these apps could lead to issues you have seen, sudden reboots, running apps midway swings back to homescreen, random freeze/hangs etc
Such issues were reported in many other phones too especially running on Froyo versions above 2.2.2 and all Gingerbread versions. Apparently Google has improved their software to detect such apps and cause all these problems. You rarely read/hear of such for versions 1.6 Eclair and early version of Froyo up to 2.1

If you are sure your apps are all genuine:

- Do a factory reset ( settings/privcay/factory data reset ) and monitor again

If still same issues, sent in to claim a motherboard replacement

not touchwiz ui la, it's samsung framework, u can freeze or even uninstall touchwiz

install batterbatterystats and check your wakelocks, your problem is with the wakelocks

You can always choose not to allow autoupdate . Just untick auto updating at the Market

I have unticked but with no luck. I will give it another try.

My advise is always don't be a dead hero and uninstall TouchWiz. Just leave it there. You hate it - just FREEZE using Titanium Backup. One unfortunate day your phone will crash and you just cannot bootup to the UI just because it fails to find the default TW. Than you have no choice but to do a hard/factory reset using Recovery mode and lose all your data, You want to be a hero - be a living one

my computers are using the internet without any problems and i have already set up the wireless with password. but lets say i try go android market place it says that there was no connection.. but after trying a few times it goes in.. so i was wondering if there is any settings i 4got to set.

i'm having problem with stock xxkg6 stock camera app , this guy here just wont focus well , i need to try touch focus like 10x time only maybe 1 time successfull ..

using the cam to take food pic usually , my gf galaxy ace takes better pic then mine D:

then looking through features on custom rom such as litening , they say **better camera ... means if i use litening will get better camera ? or do i have a alternate choice ?

im using litening rom and just enter samsung dive..it refer to your email that you register your phone...nothing to do with ROM

Just for all new users : DUMP the default emasil as it is hopelessly too basic. Using it reminds me of using iphone/ipad whereby Steve Jobs tell you DO IT MY WAY not YOUR WAY
I highly recommend too use K-9 Mail. It is an amazing mail app and is FREE
Its positives are :

1. You can setup multi email accounts. Lauch the app and you will see alisting of all your email accounts. It works well with all common webbased eg Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, Live, personal and company accounts
2. You can set display features:
- color coded emailaccounts
- fonts display size ( very Tinest to Largest, 7 levels of sizing) on various features ofd your mai, eg sender, date, subject, time/date, content etc - too long to list herre
- size of mail download from 1kb to 10MB , 14 sizes choices )
- set your email download refresh time/frequency
- set whether to leave download mail on server or set whether to delete mail from phone when deleted from server
- set how many emails you wish to download at one time, range from 10 to 1000 - 8 choices to choose
- set how you wish to be notify whether email checking in process or downloaded
- And many , many more

Try it - you will never want to use the default email app

Those who use social hub for email, just dump it; it is rubbish

Added on August 14, 2011, 11:32 amDid you try resetting your wifi router. Also make some tests at other wifi outlets . This is to eliminate problem due to phone hardware issue
Everything is auto; you need not do any special settings to enable wifi connection well. Just choose wifi connection and connect

wow...tested it just now..the K-9 Mail really good....much better than the default mail.... i tested by sending email to my another mail...the phone receives the email so fast..unlike the default mail..sometimes the next few hours or 1day only i receive the mail... good app....

Take down your rom details : launch phone app, type *#1234#
You can download the stock rom at www.samfirmware.com ( need register first to download ) or you can checkup official rom thread at XDA by intratech
Just use Odin and flash the stock rom as you flash Litening. Read intratech thread for more information. If you want to understand more about how stock rom is packaged, read page 1 post#5 again
