Use Titanium Backup ; under the listing of Backup/Restore - FREEZE market Updater
If you wish to maintain your maps version : Settings/Application/Manage Application - locate maps : select clear data
Launch Titanium Backup - uninstall map. Reboot. Install the map version you need

Connection to just your house wifi NO does not required any use of your simcard
Did you get your house WiFi successfully connected - do you have a password set for your house WiFi
Just check at : Settings/Wireless Network/WiFi Settings : You will see on next screen under WiFi - whether you have a successful connection. If you have a password set for your home Wifi, just tap on the shown wifi and key in password

If you wish to use your simcard to access internet - did you setup your APN ??? Settings/Wireless Network/Mobile Network : Make surwe Use Packet Data is selected
Look at Access Point Names - anyy APN settings ?? If none, set yourself: Menu/New APN , example
Name: Celcom ( doesn't matter what you name it)
APN : celcom3G
Menu/Save
Exit

Just for all new users : DUMP the default emasil as it is hopelessly too basic. Using it reminds me of using iphone/ipad whereby Steve Jobs tell you DO IT MY WAY not YOUR WAY
I highly recommend too use K-9 Mail. It is an amazing mail app and is FREE
Its positives are :

1. You can setup multi email accounts. Lauch the app and you will see alisting of all your email accounts. It works well with all common webbased eg Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, Live, personal and company accounts
2. You can set display features:
- color coded emailaccounts
- fonts display size ( very Tinest to Largest, 7 levels of sizing) on various features ofd your mai, eg sender, date, subject, time/date, content etc - too long to list herre
- size of mail download from 1kb to 10MB , 14 sizes choices )
- set your email download refresh time/frequency
- set whether to leave download mail on server or set whether to delete mail from phone when deleted from server
- set how many emails you wish to download at one time, range from 10 to 1000 - 8 choices to choose
- set how you wish to be notify whether email checking in process or downloaded
- And many , many more

Try it - you will never want to use the default email app

Those who use social hub for email, just dump it; it is rubbish

Did you try resetting your wifi router. Also make some tests at other wifi outlets . This is to eliminate problem due to phone hardware issue
Everything is auto; you need not do any special settings to enable wifi connection well. Just choose wifi connection and connect

did u try import from sim? mine from n96 worked like a charm, there's more than 1 way to move ur contacts

In contacts, menu options -> more -> display options,
click on sim, tick all contacts. =D
