Just got my new Samsung Galaxy S 2 woohoo! was surprised how thin and light this phone is...

Samsung dive won't work with CM and MIUI ROMs. In fact when I was with solarflare s2, Samsung dive fails on me as well. When I pressed remote control it did not response. I does not know. If it was my own problem since solar is based on Samsung framework.

Anyone knows how to disable the vibration each time pressing the back button and when typing something on S2, it's annoying, I've set Vibrate to Never and it is still doing it

You can pick any of your heart desire but unfortunately it wont help much. Somehow Samsung just f***up in implementing the Yamaha DAC in our SGSII. Even supercurio decline to do anything regarding sound improvement for our SGSII. You can read his 'preliminary audio hardware analysis' in xda under general section.
In the other word, just don't spend too much money in buying expensive bluetooth headset because the sound wont improve too much ~ not like our siblings SGS :-)

Guys, thanks alot i succesfully rooted my device, i have did backup both using CF CWM and titanium backup.

now i wanted to install litening rom 5.0

can i just follow the guide here with the current state i am now??


Step 1: Install Odin v1.85 on your computer then download and unrar the Lite'ning Rom rar file.
Step 2: Make sure that your phone is in USB debugging mode: Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB debugging.
Step 3: Reboot your phone into download mode. To do so: Turn the device off, then power it on again by pressing and holding the Volume Down + Home + Power on simultaneously.
Step 4: Start Odin.
Step 5: Connect the phone to your computer using the USB cable.
Step 6: Wait a few seconds, the Odin screen will show that a device is now connected... Added!!
* Make sure that in Odin nothing is checked, except the "Auto reboot" and "F. Reset Time" checkboxes.
* Press the "PDA" button, and select the md5 file.
* Press "Start". Odin will now flash the Lite'ning Rom, after flashing your phone should reboot.

Go to Setting > sound > feedback > untick haptic feedback

It depends on the Chef whose cook the ROM. It need more than framework to make it work. Some of Samsung apps needed in the System/app folder to make it work. Apps like signin.apk, wipereceiver.apk etc.

Lookout Security is another good alternative.

Can read chinese word but cant type chinese word? how to solve tis? is it follow the guide from page 1?
