The Lost Bladesman...too much of the same over and over again.
Great LFE towards the end. Story line has huge hole and gaps, supposedly based on a true story. It's the Three Kingdoms's 90 episodes in 2 hours. |

Just finished Eason Chan DUO 2010 concert, nice concert and good sound too, very entertaining and better than lots of other boring concert. The dancers' costume were amazing. And the female guitarist is kand of cute too

Mummy Returns...1st movie watched using my new projector and 92" screen.
The colours are rich and vibrant and the music score is brilliant. The Scorpion King CGI looks really 'fake' by today's standards. Nonetheless, enjoyed it with my whole family last night. |

Finish watching all 3 titles of Disneynature Documentaries. It greatly show improvement of Disney effort on documentary.
The Crimson Wing is among the best in overall.  Earth The Film: 3.5 Star - Nothing new, as 90% footage from Planet Earth, this is some sort of summary of Planet Earth. PQ: 4.5 Star - I found it PQ somehow stunning, it seems perfect than 1st release of Planet Earth. AQ: 4.5 Star - Loving the way it louder more on animal natural voice. Extra: 5 Star - The extra 42mins making worth the value, it showing the group (planet earth group) effort on making this documentary successful. This extra is somehow unique and perfect ever did where it not even include in the Planet Earth series. Oceans The Film: 4 Star - Stunning shot, something different than BBC but well done. PQ: 3.5 Star - It is clear, but I dislike it yellow tint issue, it seems they is some white balance issue, which make the entire film look old and dull. AQ: 5 Star - Extremely perfect with greater natural of animal voice. Extra: 1.5 Star - Is that call extra? Just a music video + some commercial advertisement. The 1.5 Star is deserved for the extra making inside DVD disc not the Blu-ray disc itself. The Crimson Wing - Mystery of the Flamingos The Film: 5 Star - The most origin documentary by Disneynature. Knowledgeable on Flamingos, well done with stunning cinematography. PQ: 4.5 Star - Gorgeous look. AQ: 5 Star - As usual, well done with more on nature animal voices. Extra: 2 Star - Short making with small screen resolution. The PQ is top class but the AQ disappointing from the SFX point of view. It is clear and distinct but the surrounds were not fully utilized. The bass also lacking in the lfe dept and no 'kick' at all. |

Hesher..AQ3 PQ3 Vulgarities 5+
Despite all the glowing reviews, I just couldn't empathise with any of the characters. None of them were likeable and some scene were positively nauseating. Hersher himself seems like a character out of hell. Even his 'finale' speech couldn't redeem him imho. Avoid like the plaque! Episode V : The Empire Strikes Back. I enjoyed it very much as compared to when I was watching it as a youngster. Last time I thought ESB was the most boring episode but don't understand why critics rated it as the best episode of the whole star wars series. Preciously, I was more attracted by the SFX but now, I appreciated it more.

Blitz...I rather enjoyed this.
The script was surprisingly good. Tough cop paired with a poofter ! LOTR.... Finished The Return Of The King last night....3 hrs 21 min. Took me 2 nights as my son 's bedtime is at 10 pm. Completed it together last night. |

Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. Didn't enjoyed it as much now compared to when I first watched it as a youngster. Last time, fascinated with the Special effects but in today's CGI world, there's no comparison.

Country Strong Not as good as de flick abt Johnny Cash.. but it isnt too bad a flick abt de Country n Western music scene in america..  3 Kings George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg in tis Desert Storm flick which is kinda interesting.. Also watched SpiderWick Chronicles with my younger son. Bonding time.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Zhang ZiYi looks stunning in this film which shot her to superstar status. The music score with traditional chinese instruments is outstanding. Some really nice panoramic scenery and the bamboo forest was surreal! |

 LOSERS Pretty gud action flick .. Chris Evans is hilarious here .. [ a man to watch .. ] Saldana's eye candy is too thin here.. skin n bones only.. Megan Fox would be better.. Great vdo .. Odo is kinda disappointing..mind u , its not bad but just kinda 'lackin' a bit since its an action movie.. |

Monster House.
Not the usual kinda animation. Can be scary for young kids with it very dark and frightful imagery. The CGI's human movements are also very life-like. Yesterday finish watching Sammi - Love Mi Concert Live BD.
 Truly enjoy! this is one of the greatest Sammi concert. I never knew Sammi can sing that well in concert! She got extreme powerful vocal to entertaining you from beginning till end. Highly recommended! You won't regret grabbing it, as this blu-ray is not only entertaining but well record, superb PQ & AQ. Movies marathon last nite.
1. Machete - This movie started great but ending prematurely, 18 SG, lots of gore & boobies.  2. Once upon a time in Mexico - revisit in HD after so many years. If u r looking the absolute definition of HOTNESS, SH is the answer. No doubt 'bout it.  3. Druken Master II  Jackie's masterpiece? Great & Hilarious performance by the late Anita Mui. Respect. |

Transformers: Dark of the Moon:
After watching it with lower expectation upon reading some review earlier, I was actually surprise that I think it is a better product then the 2nd one. There is some story line this time, and the battle scenes are being simplified or toned down, or at times deliberately to be made in slow motion in order to avoid a complete blurring of metals flashes across the screen, which tend to happen during the 2nd instalment. One can say that the first Transformer was made with a wow factor, showing off its asset in digital technology and what it can be done. The second upped the ante with even more special effect, resulting in over-blowing of scenes of metal clashes, saturated the movies with something which shouldn't be overwhelmed in the first place. The third has tried to correct the mistake, slowing down some of the scenes, in most cases rendering the effect as secondary to the main character and storyline. No doubt, it does not have the story line ala forest gump nor scripts of 'A Few Good Man' or 'Ingloreus Basteurd', but they are trying there. Not a bad flip. But I still wouldn't pay through my nose to acquire the Bluray though. It is still one of the best showcase for the TV store to demo their product for the time being. Special Effect : Superb. With this kind of effect, one can no longer see the difference between reality and digital imagery. |

 FANAA Its not bad n de snowy scenery of Highland Kashmir is nice.. Storyline is a bit predicatable n too patriotic .. if u ask me.. VDO is gud ; ODO is as usual for a b'wd flick veri gud..  COCOON A revisit for me is tis oldie from Ron Howard abt a bunch of old folks and aliens.. Special efx seems dated when u consider d later offerings.. Good actin frm de veteran stars.. indeed VDO is pretty good considering how old it is ODO has also been remastered to lossless  BROTHERS BLOOM I am a big fan of Weisz n I like Ruffolo n Brodie too.. de jap chik frm Babel is veri funny too.. Its a tad confusing, as all 'con' flicks go [ its more confusing than Oceans T even..] n it goes all de way to de end [while like in Oceans , it explains itself at d end..] Weisz plays tis realy reclusive n super rich, eccentric [tats puttin it mildly] single lady who suffers from epileptic fits.. She 'collects hobbies' n is pretty adapt at most tings she put her mind to.. She crashes 3 lamborghinis here n one is delivered as soon as one is totalled .. all in yellow.. kekeke She is also de target of de brothers ; Bloom n Stephen[Brodie n Ruffulo]. career con artists for their latest 'job'.. suffice to say complications arise when Bloom falls for de beautiful Wiesz.. VDO is gud but not great.. Finished Xmen first class... didn't read the comics nor watch TV series before on Xmen... With this movie, now have a better understanding between the Professor X and Magneto.
Like Xmen first class than Thor personally. |

just had my time to watch Avatar Extended version last Saturday.
The AQ and IQ is really superb!! Dolby HD is really great on the disc... its Original btw, the 3-disc edition bought from LYN forummer. I can hear the hair beads clicking sound of Neytiri!! It wasn't heard last time when i watch it in cinema.. and the fighting scene was superb!! oh yes, there's this hunting part which is an additional scene... you can hear the earth tumbling effect when those Bison-Like animals running with JakeSully on Ikran hunting them in the sky.. its amazing!! totally a superb experience!! its really much much better than my first experience with 300. Of course, we shouldn't compare it as Avatar was fully filmed digitally whereas 300 isn't. |

 Verdict: Only the fighting scenes looked good. I'm quite dissapointed with too much of crappy dialogues.  Verdict: Great movie for your kids but definately quite dull movie if you're an adult. I'm going to watch Green Lantern tonight...... |

It is exhilarating and such a spectacle. The PQ is grainy and the black level in certain scene is crushed badly. But the tale of inter-galactic warfare, of dog-fights in space, of light sabers and ... The pod race itself is reason enough to get this. This will be my reference demo clip from now on. Just finished green lantern in 3D. Quite surprise the 3D is quite good especially in dog fight scene and most CGI scene. Much better than Thor in 3D.
