Aiya man i don't know what is wrong now with this new mobo of mine.
this configuration seems to run the test fine but cant play longer than 15 min in whatever game then it hangs.
setup
barton 2500+
speed = 2420 mhz
fsb = 220
locked multi = 11
vcore = 1.7
2x256 Geil value blue with heat speader (from kevdaman)
ram = 1:1 (220)
volt = 2.85
timing = 2.5 3 3 7/11 (7 or 11 also hang)
It runs sp2004 for over 8 hours mo man tai.
Anything missing? i'm at a loss here.
increase the voltage for both to some insane amount and still cannot.
Temps are fine and well below 50 even.
damn....any help?
if i can get this working for playing games then i move on to 2.5 gig

tat just proved ure current overclock is not stable yet and prime stable doesn't mean it's 3d stable....to define a total stable overclock, u need to pass all 3 prime95, memtest86+ and 3dmark2001...btw i found a program call SNM which can detects error for both cpu and mem faster than prime/sp2004 and memtest...it also stresses ure cpu more and the temp shoots higher and faster compared to prime...u can give it a try if u need something to stress the cpu and mem faster b4 u go for a 24hours stressing running prime.
try running sp2004 small fft test with priority 10 for 24hours to test ure cpu stability
run memtest86+ with test #5 for 8 hours for ure ram stability and running 2dmark2001 with real time runtime (go to ure windows task manager, click on the processes tab and sekect 3dmark2001.exe and right click, select priority and select real time)
if u can pass all the criterias above then u'll have a 99% stable overclock
anyway it's something i read over in ocforums and applies to only those that go for a totally stable overclock...you can actually consider ure setup stable if u can play games for hours long but fail prime as soon as it starts....everyone has their own defination of a stable overclock depending on their needs
p/s: u might wanna check ure gfx if it's overclocked since it's a problem occured during gaming
