to me sms not an issue as i rarely use 3g to download apps......oh 1 more last thing, no need to backup contacts/apps all those to update right?

actually what is ext4? i thought it was the partition format, which we can change using pc....so what actually ext4 preinstall means in this rom?

To simplify, faster partition format.. Faster read and write process for ROM which will boost your phone perfomance..

So guys, just want to ask...I just realised my ace samsung warranty was not properly done by seller when buying...i'm trying to get it fixed by registering it online but already passed the 7 days after purchase registration period. Can I claim my warranty back?

AFAIK, u can claim ur warranty as long u got the official receipt. mine was not registered as well

Is it? I have all the necessary things with me but never registered (the seller messed up the thing ) but I just saw on the official site regarding the warranty registration, its for other products or not applied to smartphones? Very confusing...How about the sms verification?

so as long as u got official receipt shud be ok. last time i also tried to search on registering the warranty on samsung website......but all it ask me to do is ask my dealer to activate it for the sms verification, type PC IMEI(as in ur IMEI no) and send to 62002 if ur on maxis or digi. for celcom im not sure

my SGA could't last me for one day. now i can last for at least 2 days. sometimes 3 days if i seldom use.
but it will cut off your 3G connection. means, if you're on whatsapp, you will receive your message later and not instantly.



by the way, is the official Gingerbread for SGA out yet?

Try download the market apk on pc and put into sd card. install from there. type android market apk in google. i believe the latest in 3.1.5.

Added on October 6, 2011, 12:29 pmDamn, some days are just not as good. I have been flashing, trying out many roms these few weeks. Now suddenly when I go back to stock rom, 2.3.4 and try to root it with superoneclick, it doesn't work any more. It just stops at step #6, waiting.... waiting.

So if I use 2.2.1, then I can root it with upd_1.zip. But I cannot install titanium backup pro successfully. All I get is the TB Free version (if you understand what I mean). CWM 4
.0.0.9 also would not work in 2.2.1.

I have tried to wipe cache, repartition, etc... nothing works. I have no clue what happened.
