QUOTE(Eiraku @ Aug 3 2011, 11:51 PM) If you have good quality HW + good source files it's fine to stay flat and eq-less. The SGS2 needs help though IMHO (with that Yamaha DAC and all). good source files, got~ 320kbps mp3, good quality hardware, juz got it today which improved the sound quality alot, budden yea, still need abit help >.<

QUOTE(Slekerz @ Aug 3 2011, 11:59 PM) all complain that speedmod is battery hunger, i right now using angelom 16 kernel. That I got to agree. It gives about 11 hours usage. However responsiveness, it beats most I guess. I used angelom before but totally gave up on it as I keep getting hangs when I install setcpu. Maybe they are enemy...

speed mod vs ninpo kernel which got better battery performance?
anyone here using villain + speed mod?
speed mod's Touchscreen sensitivity fix from vitalij (set to 10) seems interesting...

Getting Started

QUOTE(reijikageyama @ Aug 3 2011, 09:07 PM) it's been a long time since i set any equalizers for any of my music players (phone/computer/mp3 player) and that's the way it should stay IMO. Usually it's because of the source rather than the settings itself (my 2 cents) I too do not believe in tweaking equalizers to suit my taste of music. Most of the time, I'll just leave the SQ enhancements to an external amp or a DAC connected to the source. No doubt source is important when we're looking at song bitrates and I wouldn't say that the SGSII suck as a PMP either. Currently, I'm playing FLAC music using PowerAmp with a personalized equalizer which produces sound quite similar to my desktop USB+DAC setup. All in all, it's the combination of earphone/headphone and the SGSII that makes the difference. In my case if I don't tweak the equalizer in PowerAmp, my high end IEM would sound like crap while other earphones might not need any tweaking to sound good at all. IMO, PowerAmp is a must have app for audio enthusiasts. Just my thoughts.

QUOTE(xsaintzx @ Aug 3 2011, 11:11 PM) I'm on XWKF1 right now, just bought the phone. Can I directly flash CFRoot kernel to get my phone rooted? I want to backup the stock rom using CWM. I want to flash to LiteNing 5.0 afterwards, it comes with a kernel right? After flashed to Litening my kernel will still be CFroot kernel or T17 kernel? Sorry because of this sentence in his post he makes me confused. T17 kernel QUOTE(destEX @ Aug 4 2011, 12:44 AM) now if only they fix the camera too actually after flashing xxkg2, my pink spot fix..now using xxkg6..litening rom

Added on August 4, 2011, 7:09 amQUOTE(VCBlogger @ Aug 2 2011, 11:05 PM) Hi guys i read through the first page and there is something i cant find. I previously owned a HTC sense device and it allowed me to set to connect to data only when wifi is detected. This is useful when you are not on a data plan. Is there anyway to set up the same in SGS2..? QUOTE(LuffyPSP @ Aug 4 2011, 01:54 AM) I think I'm going for this kernel This post has been edited by Lineage: Aug 4 2011, 07:09 AM
