Some ppl want to stay at stock rom until they get an official upgrade through Kies. Phone out from the box with original stock rom shouldn't have any defect or problems. That means no need to upgrade just to solve the problems that shouldn't be a problem in the first place.
He should take his phone back to Samsung and check whether his phone got any problem. And it's definately not by upgrading with unofficial firmware :-)

not really bro..even he sent back to samsung also no point, they cannot do anything...that's why we are giving him options...no phone is perfect... firmware is introduce to reduce bug..but not totally eliminate it..

Did that with XXKG2 and XXKG3 a few times before and had no problems

That's where you're wrong my friend. If he feel his phone got problem while he still using original stock rom, then he should make a complaint and bring it back to Samsung for an exchange a new set.
If Samsung says his problem is normal and not a problem at all then it's a different story.
I have no problems whatsoever when using official XWKF1 and that the way it should be. Maybe his phone motherboard got problem, maybe his video is corrupted, who knows. Better let him bring his phone for checkup first rather advise him to upgrade.
Or better still., let Samsung upgrade the firmware for him if they think it can solve his problems.!!

checked using my phone, still no update.

It doesn't work for me at all and my phone is rooted and on litening rom. Even on stock last time it did not work. Are there any settings I should do? Please share your advanced settings. Thanks!

Yup, the stock firmware, a little bit tired today I'll flash Litening 5.0 tomorrow.
Now wait for the battery to die and charge it or I think people call it the calibration.

for those who have a yellow tint... u can actually update ur kernel to KG1/2/3/4/5/6... these kernel fixed the yellow tint... nonid to change for a new set... =)

You have to check through Kies and not from the phone.
The OTA is not functioning at the moment. I think it's still under testing although some ppl in various countries did get their update through OTA :-P

Im right now using LeomaRom what i like this rom is the developers have revolution apps so if have any new update or tweck just install it through his apps, it is like VR apps.

tested sensation rom for 2 hours.. still prefer litening rom 5.0..so revert back.. sensation rom is beautiful but some icon is appear too small and colour is a bit hard to identify 'on' or 'off' unless adjust the brightness of the screen....and got one time when wifi icon show connected but no signal bar appear..surfing the web still runing..after a while then normal again..after all normal.... and battery consumption i still feel litening rom perform better .. this is my personal feel and opinion only..

HI all, if i download some free software from forum, can i use lappy to download then transfer to phone? If yes, where should i put the software in the phone?

VR have more mod inside but i think revo apps will add more in future, I think all Developers should have this approach so it is much easier for us to download update or mod in future.:-)

I'm on XWKF1 right now, just bought the phone.
Can I directly flash CFRoot kernel to get my phone rooted? I want to backup the stock rom using CWM.
I want to flash to LiteNing 5.0 afterwards, it comes with a kernel right?
After flashed to Litening my kernel will still be CFroot kernel or T17 kernel?
Sorry because of this sentence in his post he makes me confused.

If our pc kena virus, we re format and reinstall windows.

If S2 kena virus, re-flash Lite'ning 5.0, reinstall Apps, and re-sync all data, correct?
