Can use the TNB kiosk machine to pay bill using Maybank AMEX? |

However you did not state how much your monthly expenses. OCBC Titanium Cash BAck is capped at RM50/month. The GST is waived by OCBC if you spend RM10K per year.2. However you did not state how much your monthly expenses. OCBC Titanium Cash BAck is capped at RM50/month. The GST is waived by OCBC if you spend RM10K per year. is that mean that total rebate will be RM 50 or RM 50 each i.e. TNB 50, Astro 50 and so on...Click here to read my article on OCBC Titanium MasterCard. And since you earning RM60K, go read my article on Platinum Cards by clicking here. my monthly expense on fuel is about 100~200, TNB <100, syabas as od now free, astro 130. others mostly on dining, maybe around 300~500. BTW, your blog rocks man! will be reading it tonite. definitely. |

QUOTE(barlogteoh @ Oct 24 2011, 05:21 PM) no wonder less ppl use amex..... else this amex 5x point really attractive. less? Thanks you very much for the clarification. i think, many people use amex (at least, here in lyn). coz on weekend u get 5% on top of 5x points. QUOTE(b0oDak_Ba1k @ Oct 24 2011, 05:33 PM) is that mean that total rebate will be RM 50 or RM 50 each i.e. TNB 50, Astro 50 and so on... rm50 max for all categories my monthly expense on fuel is about 100~200, TNB <100, syabas as od now free, astro 130. others mostly on dining, maybe around 300~500. |

QUOTE(b0oDak_Ba1k @ Oct 24 2011, 05:33 PM) is that mean that total rebate will be RM 50 or RM 50 each i.e. TNB 50, Astro 50 and so on... So total approximately RM630 to RM930 (assuming all dining). So with 5% you get between RM31.50 to RM46.5 cash back monthly which is below the maximum monthly cash back of RM50. Then again not yet include 1% from Prudential. If say your insurance RM300/month, you only get back 1% or RM3, adding to the RM46.50, still less than RM50, just nice. So if you like spend RM10K per year or average RM833 a month, the annual GST will be waived for the OCBC TMC. my monthly expense on fuel is about 100~200, TNB <100, syabas as od now free, astro 130. others mostly on dining, maybe around 300~500. BTW, your blog rocks man! will be reading it tonite. definitely. For your easy reference, also check out the 2 tables in my article on UOB One Card by clicking here where I did a comparison between 4 cash back cards. |

QUOTE(Gen-X @ Oct 21 2011, 06:14 PM) For general spending not really except that Plat comes with Purchase Protection Plan. Plat offer complimentary golf green fees and Travel Insurance which gold doesn't. thanks for your info.... very precise and to the point... like a personal CC consultant tailored to the point... and thanks others for their view also... For your spending pattern, Pro of Maybankard 2 Cards vs OCBC TMC: 1. Get 5% cash back on weekends on top of 5X Treats Points vs OCBC cash back 1% to 5% everyday. 2. By spending RM2,000, you will get 10,000 Treats Points to offset GST vs OCBC you got to spend RM10K/year. Pro of OCBC TMC vs Maybankard 2 Cards and UOB 1 Card. 1. OCBC minimum you earn 1% cash back vs UOB 0.3%. 2. OCBC TMC you will get 5% cash back for Dining, Telco and Utility Bills everyday vs MBB2 only on weekends and UOB you get 0.3% Dining & Utilties and 2% Telco (you get more at participating SMART$ outlet). OCBC TMC vs. UOB One CArd - the only overlapping is Petrol and Grocery. Annual fees - Maybank as fruitie say Free For Life, OCBC TMC need to swipe 12 times. Click here to read my artilce Top 10 CC in Malaysia where you can have a quick reference comparing MBB 2 Cards and OCBC. If you had not read my article on UOB One Card, click here to see tables comparing the 3 mentioned cards. As for HLB Essential, forget it, with RM1K spending, you'll get only RM10/month and after less GST, you get like RM70 only for the entire year. For RM1K spending or less, to maximize cash back, see what card can earn you 5% cash back on your spending pattern. I guess Maybankard 2 AMEX does give you more options to earn 5% cash back, that is if you spend on weekends. my first credit card i get the basic 1 to explore the world... i will apply 1 more sooner or later.. i applied house loan with pbb they give me pre-approved CC , although i tell them i dont need it but they ask me to sign it.... later when i received it i dont activate it will not charge gst right? how i can cancel that card, can phone them to cancel the card?? the next card i will get probably i will get m2 amex gold, later when more salary can upgrade to plat? but after i back from kl, i feel i need a card with travel protection and lounge access... based on my spending pattern, which 1 suits me where worth me take it? |
