For 0% installment, check with the merchant that you frequent on what cards they accept for 0% installment. Harvey Norman and Courts accept most Major Banks credit cards for installments. However, I would thing that Maybank cards are most widely accepted for 0% installment plan.

click below link to check out Maybank Ezy Pay partners. but just to let you know, if you opt for installment plan, you may end up paying higher. Always ask if you will get discount if you swipe in full.

If you guys wants it to be Pin back then I can do so, no issues. When I came in it was unpinned so could be accidental or done for a purpose.

This thread helps to prevent "Best card" questions.

Let me know guys.

OCBC Titanium MasterCard for your utility bills including ASTRO where you get 5%. For seasonal Parking, I guess your SCB would reward you more but that card not auto annual fee waiver after the promotion period.

As for installment, go check the MBB link, I think posted in few posts back or just go to Maybank website --> credit card --> benefits --> Ezy Pay. And also go check with the merchant that you thinking of getting your electrical goods from.

Hi bro Gen-X, thx 4 your quick response.

I just checked on the OCBC Titanium MC you adviced, hv some doubts:

1.) Which category of OCBC Titanium MC is under 1%? My SCB only offer me 0.5% cash back, do you think I will be rewarded better with my SCB CC if I use it for something other than the utility bills (eg. seasonal parking)?

2.) I forget to mention my digi bill auto debit, is that also entitle for 5%?

thx in advance.

1) My bad, I thought SCB Bussiness giving more than 1.5% blush.gif If 0.5%, definately OCBC TMC better with 1% cash back for non Petrol, Dining, Groceries and Utility bills..

2) Yes, DiGi autodebit you'll get 5% cash back.

Check out Maybankard 2 Cards, the MBB 2 American express earns you 5X Treat Poitns everyday and 5% csah back on weekedns capped at RM50/month. By spending RM2000, you will get 10,000 TP which can offset GST. Cards are Free For Life. Click here to read my article on MBB 2 cards.

You can also check out UOB One CArd, minimum income RM24K, main benefit is 5% cash back petrol and groceries but may not be so useful to you. Read the post there, 1st year can get GST waived. Click here to read my article on UOB One Card. Need to swipe 12 times for annual fee waiver.

OCBC Titanium do waive GST if you spend RM10K per year. This card is good where ou get 5% for utility bills and dining besides groceries and petrol. However, annual income requirement is RM36K. EON bank had a promotion where if you swipe 36 times they waive the GST, not sure still applicable.

1. Annual Income:
RM30K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee:
A Must

3. Card required for:
Petrol (Esso)
Occasionally hotel bookings (work - claim, but I heard its better/cheaper to pay cash?)
PTPTN repayment (using FPX monthly, charged RM0.50/transaction)
Groceries (cause have J-card)

4. Existing credit cards if any:
Nil. tongue.gif

5. Preferred Bank or Considering CC from banks:
CIMB (cause I plan to use CIMB Clicks to pay icon_rolleyes.gif . Weird?)

6. Others:
I will be traveling next week (Wed), so would like to get one before then.
Will mainly be using it to pump petrol. Might use it to pay back my PTPTN if cheaper compared to the current RM0.50/transaction.
Planning to purchase something above RM1500 next month (senior told that its better to pay installment instead of lump sum since now 0% interest)
If there are reward, would prefer it to be cash based and not point.

7. Estimated Spending per month with the card:
Less than RM1K

Tried to read this, but no time as too much work and headache doh.gif , so decided to trouble you guys here whistling.gif . Sorry

hahaha, just the way I described Gen Y - product of our education system, just want fast answer without working for it.

I guess for your case I'll make it short - Maybankard 2 Cards Gold. If you want it fast, go to Maybank 1U or KLCC card centre. Want more info, go read below article, that is if you free and no headaches tongue.gif
http://creditcardsmalaysia.blogspot.com/20...-cimb-visa.html

And by the way, can you pay your PTPTN loan with Credit Card?

Cash back cards for you would be either UOB One Card (min RM24K) or Maybankard 2 Cards (Min RM30K).

You have to note for UOB One Card, you do earn 5% cash back for groceries but only earn 0.3% cash back for online transactions. And if your online transactions are overseas related, UOB rate is higher than Maybank Visa or MasterCard.

So if you are earning close to RM30K, I guess Maybankard 2 Cards would benefit you more.
