QUOTE(Gen-X @ Jul 18 2011, 07:21 PM) For your case UOB One Card. Click here to read my article, REvamp UOB One Card - It'a A Pure Cash Back Card July 2011. You get cash back and no reward points, but I think the cash back better than points comparing to other banks' classic card. Hi, thanks for replying, it seems like MB2 Cards is good as well.. But I am confuse, the GST is imposed to AMEX and VISA/MasterCard as well so means RM50 each total RM100? lolx The AMEX 5% weekend cash rebate is attracting.. and TP x5.. Hmm, Petronas is not accepting AMEX rite? This post has been edited by t3arsCulprit: Jul 20 2011, 10:12 AM |

QUOTE(contoh @ Jul 21 2011, 10:07 PM) 1. Annual Income: - Good overseas benefit - I can't really help you. You got to go check HSBC and AMEX site to see their offers worldwide. Click here to HSBC Global site where they list down offers for different countries.2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must 3. Card required for: Cash Back/Rebate, Good Overseas Transactions benefit 4. Existing credit cards if any: hsbc 5. Preferred Bank or Considering CC from banks: Any 6. Others: Please be specific: Good Overseas Transactions benefit 7. Estimated Spending per month with the card: RM2k above Any good credit card recommendation? Maybank Visa and MasterCard gives you the lowest conversion rate overseas. HSBC conversion rate is higher than MBB's rate. Having said that, HSBC Visa Signature does earn you 5X point for hotels and dining for overseas transaction but limited to RM1500/month. EON Bank Visa Signature does earn you 2X points plus 1% cash back for overseas transaction but with T&C and their conversion rate is also higher than MBB. Alliance Bank Plat also earns you 2X evergreen points plus cash back for overseas - go with their MasterCard instead of Visa, can't explain why but the MC conversion rate lower. MBB Visa and MC Plat (not MBB 2 cards) earns you 2X points overseas. Saw many promos for Citibank in SG recently. This post has been edited by Gen-X: Jul 22 2011, 08:28 AM |

Annual Income: RM36K to RM48K Based on the above, I guess you petrol not much, so you can go with UOB One Card. If you think you will be spending RM3K a year, then can get the UOB 1 Card Plat to meet the requirement for annual fee waiver, if not get the non Plat only need swipe 12 times. However, check out UOB Thread, there's something about online purchase security feature not being able to used for online transaction if not mistaken.2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: A Must 3. QUOTE(viknes36 @ Jul 22 2011, 03:39 PM) I holding 3 cards, but think to change to other card. at the moment i have UOB PLAT/ SCB PLAT and AMBank PLAT. Your AMBank card can use for Petrol on 1st weekends of each month until next year. Click here to read my article on AMBank promo.Kindly please advice on which card should i keep and go for 1. Annual Income: RM 80K to RM100K 2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Not must 3. Card required for: petrol, 4. Existing credit cards if any: UOB PLAT, SCB PLAT and AMBank PLAT 5. Estimated Spending per month with the card: Total 3 cards about 25k. What type of card should i go for? Or if your cars pump RM1000 a month of petrol, then get OCBC Titanium MasterCard where you get 5% cash back but capped at RM50 per month, that's why no point using more than RM1K for petrol. UOB Plat, useless unless you pump at BHP and what you get is like nothing. SCB you get nothing at petrol stations. Well, you if your insurance premiums are like RM5K per month, get Alliance Platinum where you can earn up to RM68.75 max cash rebate plus unlimited points. The card I recommend that you get is Maybankard 2 Cards American Express for your transactions where there are no offers with your existing cards. Say you pump petrol RM2K (with AmBank or OCBC Titanium), insurance RM8K (with other cards like Alliance Bank), balance RM15K can be used at merchant that accept AMEX, you will get 75,000 points per month or 900,000 Treat Points in a year Click here to read my article on Maybankard 2 Cards. If you are very free, click here to read my article titled CreditCard No.8 Fool where I did mentioned briefly the advantages of my different cards. I guess if you do spend RM3K , can consider both cards to earn max cash back. However, you spending RM3K is too much if you ask me considering your income. Just like my comments to ncbf, you better not get a credit card Tai Thong accept AMEX but if you got Citibank and CIMB, you get discount. |
