Ur lens, as you've stated 18-55mm, is the kit lens that comes with the camera itself, has a diameter of 52mm. So yeah, 52mm.Btw, I'm another D3100 user |

Will the price of D700 decrease when the new one comes or it will be discontinued? Feeling like a D700. Probably better to get 2nd hand?

Can I ask?
Im planning on getting a DSLR soon and I've decided to go for D7000. Question is as im new im and not even sure what focal length of lens i need. Currently thought of getting Nikkor 18-200 VRII (for travel all rounder) + Nikkor 50mm 1.8G(for indoor low light and portrait) also please suggest a speedlight that I will need =) I most probably will shoot streets photography, portraits and travel memories pictures. So are the combination above necessary appropriate? I will be most grateful if any1 can suggest a cheaper alternative of what I "need" for my purpose stated. Please advice ^^ This post has been edited by ikki9394: Sep 13 2011, 04:00 AM |

I was told the D700 price will go up soon. It will not be at RM6000 already, reason due to SB900 drop price.D700 promotion was D700 + 50mm + SB900... so basically SB900 slashed about 200 or was it 300, therefore D700 price will go up instead. Plus stock is very limited at the moment, so if you get a good deal, grab it. Else wait for the replacement, prepare at least 8.5k for the replacement. |

I think most likely I will still have to buy D700 just like how I decided to buy D90 last time even though my friends ask me to wait for another 4 months for D7000 to come out!!! |

Guys, is it worth upgrading from D90 to D7000 now? Knowing Nikon DSLR cycle, D7000 replacement will only come next year… and if D800 comes out in October, I still can't afford it ;P

It refresh quite slow compared to other nikon products. How? Logically, D7000 is good, and there should be no reason to worry bout D8000. |

Mind to share any limitations in D90 that has been fixed in D7000? |
