QUOTE(zeero @ Sep 5 2011, 10:09 PM) meaning, the kit lens provided IS ABLE to do autofocusing due to the built-in autofocus motor (similar to canon's system), right? i will only rugi cuz i won't be able to use older lens without built-in motor, right? yes, and no way nikon will give a non-auto focus kit lens to D5100 users. then what is the point putting the "beginner" genre on this DSLR body lol. since usually starter buy D3100 or D5100 due to price factor, maybe D7000 as well XD

Ya Its like this: Motor (M), Body (B), Lens (L), Autofocus (A), Yes (Y) / No (N) BMY + LMY = AY BMN + LMY = AY BMY + LMN = AY BMN + LMN = AN Lens with AFS infront = LMY Old 50mm D = LMN New 50mm g = LMY AFS 18-55 Kit lens = LMY So if D5100 = BMN Because 18-55= LMY BMN + LMY = AY ok, i do this because im boring, This post has been edited by hidden830726: Sep 5 2011, 10:17 PM

QUOTE(hidden830726 @ Sep 5 2011, 10:16 PM) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Ya
Its like this:
Motor (M), Body (B), Lens (L), Autofocus (A), Yes (Y) / No (N)
BMY + LMY = AY
BMN + LMY = AY
BMY + LMN = AY
BMN + LMN = AN
Lens with AFS infront = LMY
Old 50mm D = LMN New 50mm g = LMY AFS 18-55 Kit lens = LMY
So if D5100 = BMN Because 18-55= LMY
BMN + LMY = AY ok, i do this because im boring, this one is more blur should be like this la. Auto focus = -ve ( - ) manual focus = +ve ( +) so any result is combined is negative then is able to auto focus.

Of course. You are able to use older lens (all Nikon lens uses f-mount), just that you need to manual focus. QUOTE(freddy manson @ Sep 5 2011, 10:12 PM) Be creative, add some rosebuds, errr and glue some dead insect there.. QUOTE(vearn27 @ Sep 5 2011, 10:03 PM) The mentioned can be attached on D7000 too without vignetting? What are the combo required? I don't know about d7000 But on the d90/d300s it doesn't vignette Its made of 3 components but Shashinki now selling them as bundle already.. Link: http://shashinki.com/shop/nikon-rubber-eye...5pro-p-182.htmlIf the viewfinder holder of d7000's the same with d90 then this should fit! RM145 only..

Anyone could help to clarify if the combo would able to fit on D7000 without vignetting?
