how come when i connect my SGS2 to Kies it reads that ''THIS VERSION OF DEVICE CANNOT BE UPDATED'' ????????

For contacts:

1. You need to copy all your contacts into the sim card on your previous phone.

2. Then use the SGS2 menu->Import/Export function in Contacts to import the contacts.

I have not tried calendar or notes yet. Sorry!

you can use nokia pc suite to export all your contacts to .csv excel, and use Kies to import it to your S2

When you are selecting Next or Manual Setup, go manual setup and put in the above. For Hotmail doesn't seem to work. maybe they dont have any IMAP

Root n clockworkmod remains. But is of no importance as most probably you will want to flash chainfire cf4 based on kg1 to replace the kernel n you get root n cwm again
If you flash samfirmware version you will lose root n cwm

Have to la..if not how to survive in such a rapid world..

Anyone on Lite'ning 2.0 ? Just encounter a prob ...... Was on Lite'ning 2.0 with the updates of 2.1 for the FC on phone .... After a few hours of using , decided to switch back to Cognition ... Even with a full wipe , i still get a FC on phone . I need 2 go copy the phone.apk from Lite'ning's 2.1 and copy it over to my system/data ....... Havent even restore anything when I got a phone call right after i reboot Cognition 1.11
Question is , isn't a rom with full wipe suppose to take care of all this ? If so , how come the bug from 2.0 was carried over .....

Sifus...I read all in page 1. I also read from google. I see a lot of articles say install ROMManager, then can backup and install ROM. I also read from page 1, use ODIN, install new stock ROM or custom ROM. Is it on SGS2 can only use ODIN? Can backup with ODIN? Sorry for noob question, coz I think I want to backup current ROM so that I could restore if anything happens. Thanks.
