First-off, I read page 1 a few times! smile.gif

I just bought this phone a few days ago from Maxis KLCC.

1. Does anyone know if there are any forum members selling the MHL-HDMI adapter or the USB OTG cable?

2. can we find these items from Low Yat Plaza?

3. Any good web site with reasonable price to get these items (i.e. mobilefun.co.uk)?

4. How do we select a list of messages/sms to delete from the stock message app? Using un-rooted Sammy stock ROM now.

1. there's someone selling third party cables but got MOQ

2. I tried looking for generic ones before but no luck. During the launch in mid valley they were also selling the HDMI adapter for RM 100+ so i guess Samsung stores should have it

3. I guess Singapore would be the easiest option

4. I use sms quick delete

1. Sorry not sure what do you mean by MOQ? I will try to google it in lowyat forum.

2. I found this site selling a generic one for HDMI adapter £14.95 inclusive of VAT (about RM75). Need to do more research to find better deals. biggrin.gif
Generic MHL to HDMI adapter from Bizlink

3. Thanks for your recommendation on sms quick delete. thumbup.gif I will check it out.

MOQ=minimum order quantity

Understand!

I am just looking to get 1 unit. So the MOQ clause would probably entail buying more than 1 unit. sad.gif

Have been using nokia e72 for a long while now thinking of getting SS2.

How do i transfer all my contacts, calendar, notes etc to ss2?

E72 is Symbian, SS2 is Android, is android better and faster?

How is the battery life of SS2 compared to e72?

For contacts:

1. You need to copy all your contacts into the sim card on your previous phone.

2. Then use the SGS2 menu->Import/Export function in Contacts to import the contacts.

I have not tried calendar or notes yet. Sorry!

actually means that the seller is doing a bulk buy .. so if you order one .. you'll have to wait till there's more orders to reach MOQ la biggrin.gif have you tried samsung stores ?

By any chance, do you have the URL for this seller in lowyat?

nope, good'o stock rom came with the phone. could it be that it doesn't recognize folder named as "mp3"?  hmm.gif

my understanding is that it doesn't matter where you store your MP3, and the phone should be able to utilize it right?

Are you still having problem with setting ringtone with your mp3 song from a folder that you created?

These steps should allow you to set a ringtone on stock SGS2 ROM.

1. Install Astro File Manager (Free) from the android market.
2. Launch Astro and navigate to your mp3 folder.
3. Select the mp3 file by click-holding the finger on the mp3 file for a few seconds.
4. Click Music Options->Set as Ringtone.

Hope this helps! smile.gif

Not a fan boy of either Apple or Android! I think both phones (iPhone 4 and SGS2) have its good and bad. So regardless of which phone one chooses, I think either one of them is a good choice. biggrin.gif After all everyone will have different requirements and different needs for a phone. As long as they enjoy their phone and are happy with their purchase, who are we to judge, right? biggrin.gif

After all, one man’s food is another man’s poison!

On the negative side, I do find that the back cover for the SGS2 is too thin and flimsy. When I open and close the cover, I am so afraid of breaking the small fastening clips on the side of the cover. Wonder if we can get the original back cover easily with reasonable price from Samsung?
