ROM Manager is not compatible with SGS II> Why don't you just install Chainfire Recovery CF4 which is a more powerful Recovery solution. If Rom Manager is good I would have recommend it in Page 1

I use VMWare Fusion 3.1 - previously was on Parallel. While on Parallel, I flash my Windows Mobile 6, 6.1, 6.5 gadgets and the earlier Androids 1.6, 2.1 and 2.2. These interface should not affect as it acts as a bridge  only between Windows OS and MacOSX

Chainfire Recovery CF4 = ClockworkMod Recovery
Sorry for asking this as I really confuse about this..
And I knew that Litening ROM come with ClockworkMod Recovery right?
So now If I want to do backup, just boot in Recovery mode and select backup?

Since you are on litening rom clockworkmod recovery already installed. This is already the best solution for you to flash rom, backup restore functions. You already hsve the best why bother use 3rd party incompatible solution
you confuse yourself as despite my pm telling you litening comes with cf4 and is stated in his features description. I suppose you did not read it well enough even sfter i highlighted. Read his features and you will see how he progesses from cf3 to cf4

Click on and hold the widget you want to remove, wait til it turns into edit mode (you'll know), drag and drop into the trash can. Now just add the original weather widget back. simple

Well guess what guys, in my quest of endless tinkering, I discovered that the SGS2's USB-OTG WORKS WITH 1.8' EXTERNAL HDDs, even without external power.

Seems that it works with the Samsung S1 (figures) - though the disk will HAVE to be reformatted in FAT32, unless you do the NTFS hack I mentioned a while back (it's in front page).

I wonder if it will work with the Transcend StoreJet 18M, because that will be RAD.

layman's term
random read/write = accessing a large no. of small size files
sequential read/write = accessing 1 big size file

like when we transferring files in PC
A) 100 files total 4GB
B) 1 file total 4GB

B is faster because we enjoy faster sequential speed when scenario A is utilizing random read/write
sort of highway vs stop start traffic scenario

not so layman's term: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2100584...nd-random-write
