And I just found out Android does not support Off-Alarm.
And Google has no plans to implement it. |

QUOTE(driftmeister @ Jul 10 2011, 09:03 PM) layman's term ooo. thanks for the info. random read/write = accessing a large no. of small size files sequential read/write = accessing 1 big size file like when we transferring files in PC A) 100 files total 4GB B) 1 file total 4GB B is faster because we enjoy faster sequential speed when scenario A is utilizing random read/write sort of highway vs stop start traffic scenario |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Jul 10 2011, 10:55 PM) Don't worry, you're not missing much. Sense is... *looks around for CelcomAxiata*... a bit SENSEless. hahaha It eats up memory like god knows what, and slows down your system. IMHO unless you're British, you really don't need a weather widget so huge that everything else fades to obscurity. |

Finally had 1 reboot today since my purchase last Tuesday. This was due to a stupid game I downloaded from Samsung Apps. It made my phone so hot. I stopped playing, and phone hanged. Then reboot. Sigh.
Guerrilla Bros seems to cause the phone to heat up as well. |

QUOTE(vkyip @ Jul 16 2011, 12:37 PM) Sifus, I think I am gonna get flamed, but I am going to venture what I think is a my own accessment of the SGS2. U didn't know how to turn off the data, does not mean you can't. You should've asked around... I've managed to squeeze 36 Hours continuously, with on-and-off wifi surfing, calls, sms, game. So the battery life does not suck.1. The hardware is super, the camera is great. 2. The UI is unpolished (understatement). Many things is hidden under multiple levels of menu, and involve too many clicks to access. 3. Some things work and some don't. APNDroid does not seem to work. Paypal and BUMP cannot install. So stock ROM is hopeless, unless you root. 4. Battery life sucks, even with juice defender installed. Paid for Tasker, but unfortunately cannot set data to off, late at night and still consume quite an amount of battery. Got tasker to set Wifi off, bluetooth off, GPS off. Perhaps it's just me, or I am playing with it a bit, but I would expect 2 days of battery life with lite or moderate usage. Perhaps I am wrong, but I would not recommend to friends at this time, comments are welcome. |
